An intentional clearing of any harm we have caused ourselves or others. This is a focused meditation on releasing ourselves from internal resentments we are holding against ourselves. Important work to be done as we often do not include ourselves when working to repair relationships and heal our own hearts.

Settle in to this present moment by bringing your attention to your breath.

Just notice how your body breathes.

Notice the expansion and contraction as you inhale and exhale.

Notice any areas of tension or restriction and notice where there is space.

Typically we would think of forgiveness as something we would offer someone or something else that has hurt or harmed us.

If we are working on healing ourselves and repairing relationships that we may hold some responsibility in damaging if we have hurt or harmed others or ourselves,

Then we should be offering ourselves that same level of forgiveness.

Forgiveness can be defined as a conscious letting go of resentment towards a person or thing that has hurt or harmed us.

Today's meditation is an intentional clearing of any internal microaggressions that we may be holding against ourselves.

I will offer you a series of phrases that you may silently repeat to yourself.

At some point you will notice that your mind has wandered and that's okay.

When you notice,

You gently bring yourself back to the phrase as best you can remember it.

I forgive myself for any harm I've caused through action or inaction.

I forgive myself for any harm I've caused through action or inaction.

I forgive myself for any harm I've caused through action or inaction.

I know I have acted out of fear,

Pain and confusion.

Today I offer myself forgiveness.

I know I have acted out of fear,

Pain and confusion.

And today I offer myself forgiveness.

I know I have acted out of fear,

Pain and confusion.

Today I offer myself forgiveness.

For any harm I've caused myself or others,

Knowingly or unknowingly,

I forgive myself.

Notice the parts of you that are touching whatever is beneath you.
