Welcome to a Breathing Meditation for the Crown Chakra by Planet and Peace of Mind.

Thanks for being here.

You'll want to find a comfortable place on the floor lying flat against the ground.

If you choose to remain in a seated position,

Use a prop or a bolster so that you can remain comfortable for this meditation.

Come to a seated position or lying down position and begin to focus on the breath.

Inhale and exhale.

Focus on each inhale entering the body at the base of the spine.

Become aware of your pelvis,

Hips,

Glutes,

And hip flexors.

Exhale and release any tension you may be feeling in the lower half of your body.

Let the breath melt tension away.

Inhale from the base of the spine up into the belly.

Exhale and release any tension from the belly and the lower back,

Releasing the abdomen.

Inhale from the base of the spine up into the heart.

Exhale and release any tension you may find through your shoulders,

Your upper back,

And through your chest,

Allowing the shoulders to make a solid connection to the floor beneath you or the chair behind you.

Inhale from the base of the spine up into the throat,

The breath filling the throat.

Exhale and release any tension you may find in your jaw,

In your neck,

And even in your tongue,

Even allowing the mouth to fall slightly open as it relaxes.

Inhale from the base of the spine up into the head behind the eyebrows.

Exhale and release any tension from your forehead and your scalp.

Release the space between your eyebrows,

Feeling your head fully supported by the floor beneath you or the chair behind you.

Inhale from the base of the spine all the way up to the crown of your head and slightly higher.

Exhale all the way down to the base of the spine,

Feeling the breath lighting up the spine each step of the way,

Inhaling and exhaling.

A rainbow of color lighting up from the bottom to the top of your spine with each breath.

Inhale and exhale.

Observe the beautiful lights as they shine.

As you continue to breathe up and down the entire length of your spine,

Visualize a luminous lotus suspended above your head.

Can you sense its petals continuously opening and closing above the crown of your head as it flows with the breeze of each breath?

Inhaling and exhaling.

The spine lights up with colors as you inhale.

The lotus petal leaves whisper as you exhale.

Inhale,

Exhale.

A rainbow of light shines through your spine and the lotus flutters in the wind of your breath.

Concentrate on the lotus as the merging of your inhale and exhale.

The lotus begins to radiate a soft pink glowing light.

Each petal begins to glow with a bright warm pink tint.

This light swirls and spirals around and through the lotus petals.

As you inhale,

You feel as though the lotus were drawing life force from the earth beneath you,

Drawing it up through your body,

Through your spine,

And into the lotus itself.

As you exhale,

Notice any scents or textures that make themselves present to you.

Allow your breath to be soft and rhythmic as you observe the beautiful lights,

The movement of the petals,

And the radiating pink glow of the spiraling lotus above you.

Experience the uninterrupted flow of your breath as light travels through your spine,

To your crown,

And all around you.

You are completely surrounded by warm glowing pink light.

You are fully aware of everything around you and of the consistent flow of your breath,

Its steadfast continuance.

As your breath is soft and rhythmic,

You can let go of the effort.

By letting go,

You become receptive to the creative and subtle energies of the merging masculine and feminine.

Light flows unanimously through you.

You allow yourself to experience yourself as the container of this merging energy.

You feel the pink light glowing all around you,

Warming you from head to toe.

Slowly begin to bring your attention back to the space just above the crown of your head.

The pink light is the warmest and brightest here,

Surrounding the lotus.

Slowly,

The lotus begins to absorb the pink light from around your body.

The glowing light begins to return to a smaller size,

Filling the petals of the flower as they absorb its color.

The lotus turns pink.

The lotus remains pink and glowing as your crown chakra returns to its normal function.

You remember that you can always return to the crown chakra for understanding and knowledge.

This place is always here to support you.

You can always tap into consciousness here,

Remembering that the subtle pink glow of the lotus is with you always.

Breathing in,

Understanding.

Breathing out,

Tension.

Breathing in,

Knowing.

Breathing out,

Fear.

Breathing in,

Consciousness.

Breathing out,

Doubt.

Maintain awareness of your breath,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Notice your cool breath as it comes through the nose,

Down the back of your throat,

Past your heart and into your lungs,

Filling the abdomen,

Down to the roots of the spine.

Notice the natural movement of your body as you breathe in and breathe out.

Become consciously aware of your body.

Bring more movement to the body as you begin to wiggle the toes,

Wiggle the fingers.

You can shrug the shoulders up and down,

Bringing your consciousness back to the present moment.

Become aware of the ground beneath you or the chair supporting you.

Breathing in,

Knowing and understanding.

Breathing out,

Fear and doubt.

Breathing in,

Pink light.

Breathing out,

Tension.

Inhaling and exhaling.

Slowly begin to flutter the eyes open.
