Hey guys!

Welcome to this working memory game meditation.

Today is not about sitting in silence.

It is about playing with your mind to anchor yourself in the here and now.

Working memory games help engage your prefrontal cortex,

Calm emotional overwhelm,

And bring clarity and presence.

I invite you to begin by taking a deep breath in and out.

Again inhaling and exhale.

And one last time inhaling and exhaling.

All right let's play.

All right so round one is the counting challenge.

Now what I invite you to do is count backwards from a hundred by seven.

Take your time.

Don't worry about perfection.

Just focus.

You're doing a good job.

Remember to breathe.

Remember the goal is focus.

I'm getting it all right.

I'll give you a few more seconds.

Great job!

Now let's move on to round two.

Now we are going to just check in by taking a big deep inhale.

Hold it.

And exhale slowly.

Feel your feet on the ground or your body support it.

And just notice.

And now we are going to do the spelling twist.

Now spell the word elephant backwards.

And again it's not about perfection.

Just try the best you can.

Now spell your first name backwards.

And finally spell meditation backwards.

Well done.

Now we're going to do another check-in.

So I invite you to breathe in deeply.

Hold.

And out slowly.

Notice your mind becoming clearer.

Notice if you can let go in your body just a little bit more than before.

Noticing what it's like to be supported by your seat.

And if you're standing noticing what it feels like to be supported by your feet.

Taking in a big deep inhale.

Now let's move on to round three.

Think about what you ate for dinner three days ago.

Take a moment to picture it clearly.

What was on the plate?

What colors did you see?

How did it taste?

Just taking a moment to remember here.

And breathing.

Great.

Let's move on to round four.

Now for round four.

Look around you right now.

Name five things you see that are blue.

Now name three things you see that are round.

Beautiful.

Now meet me at round five where we're going to do a quickfire round and answer questions as quickly as we can.

Now for this last round,

We're going to answer the questions as quickly as we can.

And it's not about perfection.

It's just about having fun and seeing how many questions we can answer.

All right.

What is six times eight?

Name a fruit that starts with P.

What is your best friend or favorite person's middle name?

Spell table backwards.

What was the last song you listened to?

Amazing.

Now I invite you to take a moment to place a hand on your chest if you feel safe.

And take a moment to notice how you feel.

Do you sense more clarity?

A feeling of being here now?

Remember,

You can play these working memory games anytime you feel spaced out,

Anxious,

Or disconnected.

They are tools to anchor you back to yourself.

Let's end with three deep cleansing breaths.

Taking a big,

Deep inhale.

And holding.

Exhale.

Let that go.

And again,

Taking a big,

Deep inhale.

Holding.

Exhale.

Let that go.

Last one.

Deepest breath of the day.

Hold.

And then let it go.

Thank you for playing this working memory game meditation with me.

May your mind stay clear,

Grounded,

And strong.

Have a beautiful day.

And thank you for taking this time for yourself.
