Welcome to your inner peace meditation.
Taking the first few moments to arrive in your chosen comfortable seat.
First few moments you can shift,
Move around.
Less important what we do with the arms and the legs.
More important that the spine is upright,
Alert,
Yet relaxed.
Find your seat of comfort and ease.
And then begin to relax the physical body.
The jaw,
The shoulders,
Relax the belly.
Allow the breath to find space,
Move with ease.
Allowing the body to create space for peace to enter.
Throughout this practice,
Being a witness to your thoughts,
Not trying to stop them or suppress them.
Allow them to come to the surface.
Accept them and then do your best to let them drift away.
Bringing the focus and attention back to the breath.
As you breathe in peace.
As you breathe out peace.
Notice that moment between the inhale and exhale.
That moment of stillness.
That's where peace is.
Quiet minute here for you to acknowledge and rest your mind in that moment of peace.
Starting to imagine your mind like a beautiful calm lake of stillness.
When you are still it's easier to find certainty,
Clarity.
When you're still and settled it's easier to be at peace.
Noticing the gentle ebb and flow of your natural breath.
Bringing your focus now to the heart.
A sense of breathing peace into the heart.
Peace out into the world.
You can always choose peace and welcome it in.
Choosing peace isn't always the easy option.
Sometimes peace comes from having a difficult conversation.
Allowing someone to be right.
A reminder that your heart doesn't need to win.
Sometimes it's stepping away from a situation or a person that brings you pain.
Sometimes it's letting go of the past.
Peace can come into your life in many different ways.
Come to stillness,
Come to the breath and ask your heart for guidance.
Peace is always your heart's song.
Sharing a few more moments here together.
A peaceful heart,
A peaceful mind and a peaceful breath.
Noticing that slight pause between the breaths.
Bringing awareness back to yourself and acknowledging and noticing how you're feeling in this moment.
Bringing yourself back to this moment.
Staying close and connected to that sense of peace.
We'll bring our practice to a close.
Well done.
