TFT or Thought Field Therapy combines eye movements, tapping and vocalizations to release stress. Some of the tapping points are similar to EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) but TFT targets specific emotions or symptoms. This meditation focuses on Anger to decrease stress levels.

Aloha and welcome,

This is Diane Big and today we're working on TFT or Thought Field Therapy.

It is similar to EFT because it does have some tapping points,

But with TFT we use more eye movements and one specific tapping point.

The difference is we have to get our stress levels down to a 4 to move on to the eye movements and that specific tapping point.

Before we can get there,

We have to measure our stress levels and the emotion we're working on today is anger.

So from 0 to 10,

Are you on that scale feeling angry?

Maybe you're angry at a specific person,

At yourself,

A situation,

Whatever it may be.

Find a number on the scale from 0 to 10.

If the number is above a 4,

We're going to do this tapping point until you bring it down to a 4.

So we're going to tap at the little finger and I'm going to use some affirmations.

We're going to use it 3 times as we tap 5 times at the little finger.

Each time I state the affirmation,

You're going to tap at that point and then we'll move on to the collarbone.

So begin tapping at your little finger.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

Move on to the collarbone.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

Taking another deep,

Slow breath and notice where is your anger now on a scale from 0 to 10.

If it's gone down one level,

We're going to continue to do this.

We're going to do it 2 more times and then we'll move on to the specific tapping point and the eye movements.

If you feel like you haven't gotten down to a 4 when we get to that part of the sequence,

I encourage you to rewind and do this tapping point and get down to a 4.

Begin tapping at the little finger again.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

Now tap the collarbone.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

One more time.

Notice where you are from 0 to 10.

If we have gotten to a 5,

You're fairly close.

I'll do one more session of tapping.

We'll bring you down to a 4.

Begin tapping at the little finger.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

And tapping at the collarbone.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

I am in control of my feelings.

Take in a deep,

Slow breath.

Exhale and notice where you're at.

If you have gotten down to a level 4,

We're going to move on to the next stage of TFT.

If not,

Rewind until you get to a level 4.

Now you're going to locate a point on your hand and we're going to tap on the back side of your hand that's between the index finger and the pinky finger.

Feel between those two bones on your hand and notice if there's a tender spot.

If there's a tender spot,

That's where you want to tap.

And if there isn't,

It doesn't matter,

You're tapping in between those two bones on the tissue that's in between.

Now as you're tapping,

I want you to close your eyes.

Now open your eyes.

Now we're going to look up and to the center,

Down and to the left,

Up and to the center,

Down and to the right,

Up and to the center,

Down and to the left,

Up and to the center,

Down and to the right,

Up and to the center,

Down and to the left,

Up and to the center,

Down and to the right.

We did that for a series of three.

Now we're going to do a series of three in circular motion.

Go all the way to the left for one,

Two,

And three.

To the right,

One,

Two,

And three.

Now we're going to hum the happy birthday song.

Now as you continue tapping,

Count up from one to five,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

And count down,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Let's hum again.

Now tap the little finger for five,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Tap the collarbone for five,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Take in a deep,

Slow breath.

Notice where you're at.

If you're down to a zero or a one,

You can stop the sequence.

If you're not quite down yet,

We'll go through the series one more time.

Go ahead and close your eyes.

Now open your eyes.

Look up and to the center,

Down to the left,

Up,

Down to the right,

Up,

Down to the left,

Up,

Down to the right,

Up,

Down to the left,

Up,

Down to the right.

Always tapping on the gamut point,

Going in a circular direction to the left for one,

Two,

Three,

And to the right for one,

Two,

Three.

Happy birthday song.

Count one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Tap the little finger five times,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Collarbone five times,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

If your stress is down to a zero or a one,

Then we're going to do the conclusion.

If it's not quite there,

Rewind,

Do it a little longer until you get to a zero or one,

And then do this conclusion.

The conclusion is looking at the floor and slowly,

Like a turtle,

Rolling your eyes all the way to the top.

And that concludes this TFT session.

Aloha.
