This practice can help you to connect to those underlying experiences that may be contributing to self-doubt and cultivating an environment of kindness,

Love and compassion for yourself and for your feelings.

As we begin,

Take a little time to settle,

Find a position where your body can feel relaxed and natural.

There's no need to hold yourself tight or rigid.

Gently close your eyes if you wish and just breathe naturally.

In the practice I will offer you some guidance and then leave a space of silence for you to become aware of your own experience and notice how it is for you.

Slowly beginning to notice the sensations and feelings of your breath in your body.

Feeling the air coming in and out of your nostrils as you breathe.

Noticing the sensations of the expansion and contraction of your belly,

Lungs and ribs as you inhale and exhale.

Noticing how they expand and contract in four directions and the sensations of that.

Letting your mind really rest with that awareness of the rise and fall of your core as you breathe.

Allowing your awareness now to expand out to the rest of your body to become aware of the whole body and all the sensations,

Feelings and energy within it.

Just noticing with a sense of allowing,

Giving everything space to be there as it is.

There's no need to stop anything or change anything.

Almost like being the open space of the sky and just allowing the weather to arise,

Form and dissolve away on its own.

Take part of your awareness down to your sense of ground and notice your connection with that ground.

Notice where your body meets the ground and notice if you can allow your whole weight of your body to rest down into it.

Picking trust in its steadiness and support.

As you rest there in this grounded space of allowing and openness,

Gently becoming aware of a doubt that you have in your life or maybe a doubting inner voice and feel into that for a moment.

Allow yourself to float back in time to something that might have contributed to this sense of self-doubt.

Notice how your body feels as you're aware of this.

Any sensations and feelings present.

If you want to,

You could take a hand and gently place it in the area of your body where you feel this doubt.

Offer it kindness and love.

Offer yourself kindness and compassion for feeling these challenging feelings.

Like the kindness and compassion,

It would probably feel easy to offer others that are suffering.

See if you can extend the same compassion towards yourself.

All beings want to be happy and all beings suffer in some way,

In the same ways that you do.

So see how it feels to offer a sense of compassion and love towards yourself and the doubt that you feel.

If you feel drawn to,

You can offer some kind words to that feeling of doubt.

Like,

It's okay,

I'm here for you.

Or I understand.

Whatever feels right for you.

Breathing naturally.

Continually allowing your body to relax.

Supported by the steadiness of the ground.

As you keep offering kindness to that area,

You may feel it soften and relax.

Or maybe the sensations in that area gradually change.

Staying connected to those feelings of self-compassion,

Allow your hand to gently drop away.

Take a deep breath in.

And breathe a long,

Slow breath out.

Let the body fully relax.

And let yourself rest for the last few moments in these feelings of compassion and kindness.

You could set an intention for yourself for the next time you feel these doubtful feelings.

You offer yourself kindness and compassion,

Helping you to disidentify with the doubt and transform your relationship with it.

I wish you a wonderful and compassionate day forward.
