In this talk in meditation we're going to explore the air element and how it lives within you and then we'll do a meditation where we'll allow energy flow and healing within the chakra that the air element inhabits,

The sacral chakra.

I'm coming specifically from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition which I know may differ slightly from other traditions.

I don't want us to get caught in the details.

What's actually much more important than the visualization is your connection to your body and the felt experience within you.

The nature of air is swift and moving,

It's active.

Its nature has intention and likes to find solutions.

It has a doing feeling to it,

Of putting into action.

Air is very flexible and easy with change.

When our air element is in balance we feel like we can confidently and swiftly find solutions.

We are motivated and get things done but easily able to adapt and change.

When we have excess air energy it can feel like we're rushing around in our minds and overactive,

We even feel agitated.

It can feel very hard to settle,

We can even feel very driven or pushy.

The air element can be linked to anxiety.

When we have too little air energy within us we can find it difficult to change and mold and we can feel stuck.

We can find it difficult to think or make decisions and we might not have very much motivation.

So can you get a sense of how the air element lives within you?

However it is within you it's perfectly fine just as it is.

Just notice what you feel,

Allow it to be and give it space to come alive and to heal.

In the Tibetan tradition the air element lives within your sacral chakra and its color is green.

In the meditation we'll go through the stages of deepening into ourselves,

Relaxing and grounding,

Connecting to our body.

I'd like to give you space to really be with your own experience.

So when you hear spaces of silence use that space to really drop into your own experience and feel what is happening for you.

We will then connect to our sacral chakra and get a sense of the feelings and sensations within it,

Giving it space.

Bringing in the color green we will allow it to expand,

Cleanse,

Heal and resonate at its ideal frequency.

To add a bit of creativity and fun to it while we resting and allowing within the sacral chakra instead of silent spaces here I will gently play my sacral chakra crystal bowl.

As you hear it let the resonance support you to allow a softening,

An opening and a healing of your sacral air chakra.

Before we start find yourself somewhere comfortable to be.

You can be seated on a meditation cushion or sitting on a chair.

As long as you're comfortable and your body can really relax.

It's good to sit with your back straight and tall but don't be too rigid.

Allow a sense of movement within you.

Let's start by bringing your awareness to your breath.

Awareness of breath within your body.

Become aware of the feelings and sensations of your lungs,

Ribs and abdomen rising and falling with each breath.

And as you relax there really be inquisitive of the feelings and sensations within each in-breath and each out-breath.

Take part of your awareness now to the ground of your being.

Feelings and sensations of the ground or cushion pushing up from below you,

Supporting you.

The feelings and sensations of the weight of your legs or your pelvic floor.

And really let your whole body relax down into that sense of ground supporting you.

If you get distracted at any point there's no need to judge yourself.

Just allow the distraction to arise and move through and evaporate on its own.

Just allow it to be and then gently bring your awareness back to your breath,

Back into feelings and sensations within your body.

And then relax back down into your ground again.

As you relax into that sense of ground bring your awareness up into the trunk of your body and notice any feelings and sensations within your trunk.

Whatever is there,

Give it space and allow it to be as it is.

To move as it needs to move,

As you relax and breathe.

Allow your awareness to expand to the rest of your body,

Back down into your legs,

Out to your arms,

Your head,

Until you become aware of feelings and sensations within your whole body as you relax.

If you feel yourself trying too hard or if you're distracted again,

You may notice some kind of holding or contraction within your body.

Allow that part of your body to gently let go and relax again.

Remember to hold your space with a sense of compassion and then again gently bring your awareness back to your breath and back into feelings and sensations within your body and then relax back down into your ground and allow your awareness to expand your feelings and sensations within your whole body again.

As you rest within that space,

Bring your awareness to your sacral chakra.

Your sacral chakra can be felt somewhere just below your belly button,

Just in front of the spine.

It doesn't need to be the precise spot.

Just put your awareness into that area and notice any feelings and sensations there.

As you relax,

You become aware of a small radiant drop of green light within your sacral chakra.

Allow that drop of light to radiate out,

Filling your body with feelings of confidence and intention.

A feeling that you can do anything you want to do.

Then allow that light to gently,

Softly evaporate,

Leaving you with a sense of feeling motivated and adaptable.

A feeling that you can accomplish whatever it is that you need to do.

As we finish this meditation,

You're left with a radiant drop of green light resting and radiating in your sacral chakra as a connection to the air element within you.

At any point in your day,

If you feel like you really need that sense of motivation and swiftness,

Remember that you have this energy and the radiant green light within you at all times.

You can just connect to it and allow its radiance to shine,

Helping you to feel swift and motivated.

The air element is one of five elements that lives within your inner and outer worlds.

The other elements are earth,

Water,

Fire and space.

Some are very alive within us and we have a strong connection to them and with others we may feel like we have a lack of.

If you're interested in them and you'd like to learn more about how each element lives within you,

You can take a look at my course,

The Elements and Chakras Within You,

Brought to life with sound,

Where I one by one explore each element and help you to connect to them,

Which can bring an insight into how they live within you.
