
Your Radiant Light Yoga Nidra

We often hide more from our light and power than we do from our fears, which keep us holding patterns that are unsupportive. This yoga nidra gently opens your energy centers to connect with higher light frequencies so that you can move into your power with greater ease. Benefits of this practice include: Greater awareness of your gifts and strengths. Increased acceptance of what is yours and less of doing the unnecessary. Connecting to greater joy available in your life. Being connected to the flow of life's offerings to receive them graciously.

Welcome,
I'm Nid and I will guide you through this Yoga Nidra practice.
Please make yourself comfortable,
Settling down with any props to support your knees,
Low back and neck.
You may wish to have a blanket or something that can lay over your body to keep you warm and a sense of grounding.
Some people enjoy something over the eyes to block out any light.
You will be lying on your back with your legs relaxed at hip distance apart and the palms facing up with the arms slightly away from the body to allow the shoulders to open and relax down.
Allow your neck to be long and the chin to drop slightly down towards the chest and as you wriggle and adjust make sure that you'll be comfortable for the entire of your practice.
As you close your eyes begin to settle into your space through the sound of my voice and hearing any of the noises in your environment.
Acknowledge your physical location through the soundscape that is painted around you through your hearing sense.
Acknowledge these sounds allowing your awareness to draw inwards so that it may remain focused on the words being said without analytical thought just receiving the words through the practice of yoga nidra.
And make the resolve that you're going to practice yoga nidra staying aware and attuned into these words said.
If you drift away that's okay,
Just return back to the words and continue to listen.
Allow the words to drop into your experience,
Releasing,
Analyzing and thinking about the words allowing the sense experience to arise from within you.
You may choose to fall asleep at the end of the practice as you settle on in in to staying still for this practice.
Become aware of the sense of touch upon your body,
The fabrics touching your skin and the sense of breath across the top lip.
Allow awareness of the breath to move into the body sensing where else you can feel your breath in your body at this time.
Notice the points of the body in contact with your support,
Feeling held and supported.
Feeling held and supported allow the body to become a little heavier into these points of contact releasing your weight down into your support and receiving being held by what is beneath you.
And bring to mind a place that makes you feel safe,
It may be real or imaginary somewhere that in your mind you can create that sense of well-being in this moment whilst you think or imagine being there and allow this place to create these feelings of safety and well-being.
Throughout your body and know that this space is available to you throughout the practice and also in your day.
Bring to mind your personal resolve,
A short simple statement said in the present tense about eight words long that you are living in this very moment with true faith and feeling and release that intention.
Allowing your awareness to come to different body parts either sense-feeling or visualizing them as they are said.

Becoming aware of the breathing in the heart center,
Allow the breath to be natural,
As though you're breathing in and out the center of the chest at the heart space,
Feel or maybe see the breath moving in and out the center of the heart,
Observing the sensations of the heart breathing,
Releasing awareness of the breath,
Come to the sensation of being weighted,
Feeling a heavy weight,
Perhaps remembering times of feeling that weighted down heavy sensation through the body,
And feel that sensation where it is in the body,
Weighted heavy,
And now come to the sensation of being so light as though suspended in the air,
The sensation of being so light,
Suspended in the air,
Returning to that sensation of weighted heavy,
Perhaps using memory to feel that weightedness,
Sensing into suspension so light could be suspended in the air,
Perhaps using memory,
Feeling light throughout the body,
Like you're weightless,
The body free of weight,
Returning to the weighted feeling throughout the body,
And coming to the weightless feeling,
The body is weightless,
Is it possible to feel the weighted and weightless feelings at the same time in the body?
Can both weighted and weightless exist as a sensation experience simultaneously?
Okay,
Releasing the sense experience,
Bringing awareness to the point between the eyebrow center,
Into the dark hole at the point between the eyebrow center,
Focus to find the dark hole at the point between the eyebrow center,
And allow your awareness to move into that middle of the mind hole,
As though moving into a dark black tunnel,
Moving down through the tunnel,
A sense of moving down through the black tunnel,
And it opens out into a vast canyon,
A deep gorge and ravine is all around,
Suspended and weightless,
There is water beneath at the bottom of the canyon,
And various caves between high rocks all around the space,
Make sound,
Call out into the space,
There is an echo,
Hear the response that calls back,
Receive this call and response moving around this vast space,
The water ripples,
And moves to the serpent's movement through the water,
Creating rainbows,
All colors and fractals of light through the water and up and through the canyon,
As the spots of rainbow colored spectrum take shape and form,
White light and shape and rainbows moving up from the serpent beneath spreading this white light into your field,
Allowing the rainbow colors to move up from the serpent beneath,
Feel the forms of white light moving around you,
These ripples of rainbow colored light spread out through the canyon,
Creating a bright brilliant white light,
So bright,
All around you,
So brilliant and bright white,
Shapes of white light moving through the space around,
Move in this suspended light of form and shapes,
Hold all this light,
Allowing the sense of the body to fall into the softness of clouds holding the body weightless,
Suspended,
As though feather pillows softly falling,
Gently held,
Falling into being held,
Allow all these colors and forms and shapes of light to move through the center of the heart,
Back through this tiny tunnel,
The back of the heart,
Letting all this light in,
Into the tiniest imaginable point at the back of the heart,
And feel the body resting upon your support,
Repeating your personal resolve or sankalpa three times with that same present tense and true meaning,
Beginning to come back into your time and space,
Being aware of the physical feeling of your body touching your support,
Begin to feel the fabrics moving as your breath moves your body,
And hear the sounds in the space around you and any of those through this recording,
Beginning to come back into your space,
Your physical location,
Through your sense of sound,
Your practice of yoga nidra is now complete and you may choose to go to sleep or if you need to continue with your day,
Introducing gentle movements into the hands and toes,
And perhaps you give yourself a hug or a stretch as you yawn yourself back into movement and when you're ready,
Roll over onto one side,
Taking your time on your side,
Maybe bringing your hands to touch your shoulders and arms,
Reconnecting you to your physical being in this day,
And when you feel fully present and alert,
Coming up to seated,
Taking your time to come back into your day,
And may you have a most wonderful day.
