The energy of Rohini nourishes you and fosters your creativity.
It invites you to nurture love and harmony in your life.
Rohini allows you to experience deep nourishment and emotional fulfillment,
So you can grow,
Thrive and reach your highest potential.
Try to stay aware and awake during the practice and simply follow my guidance.
So you're lying down in Shavasana,
Feet hip-width apart and hands alongside the body,
Palms up.
Make sure you're feeling warm.
I'll use a blanket to stay warm as you slowly transition into relaxation.
Adjust your position to make sure you're comfortable.
Inhale.
Then stay completely still.
Eyes closed.
Become aware of your body lying heavily on the ground.
Feel the ground supporting you.
Take a deep breath.

Now bring your attention to your breath.
Observe your chest and belly slowly rise and fall naturally.
With each exhale,
Your body becomes heavier and sinks a little deeper in the ground.
The breath is calm,
Deep and relaxed.
Prepare to internally count down your breath from 27 to 1.
As you observe your chest slowly rise and fall at each count.
If you lose count,
Simply start over or where you left off.
We will begin together.
Inhale,
27.
Exhale,
27.
Inhale,
26.
Exhale,

Continue on your own now.
I'm going to take you through opposite physical sensations.
Try to imagine the sensations and make them feel real.
Bring about a sensation of scatteredness.
Notice the scattered thoughts fleeting through your mind.
Let your attention scatter like leaves in the wind,
Drifting to different sensations and perceptions.
Experience the scattered nature of your breath,
Flowing in and out in an unpredictable rhythm.
Allow yourself to be present with this feeling,
Accepting it without judgment.
Now shift your focus to feeling grounded.
Let your entire body connect with the earth beneath you.
Sense the weight of your body pressing down,
Anchoring you.
Imagine roots growing from the back of your body,
Extending deep into the earth,
Providing you stability,
Security and calm.
Breathe deeply,
Feeling the steady connection between your body and the earth,
Knowing you're fully supported and centered in this moment.
Let go of both sensations now.
Now let me take you on a journey.
Visualize yourself outside in front of a large banyan tree in the middle of the jungle.
Its roots are big at the surface of the earth.
In the middle of the roots,
You notice an opening.
Approach slowly and find the entrance of a cave in the womb of the earth.
Come inside to snuggle up.
The roots of the trees surround you and protect you.
Feel the warmth and softness of the deep brown soil between your fingers.
Smell the earthy scent of the soil.
Plant your own roots into the soil and feel that deep connection with Mother Earth.
Feel completely held,
Grounded and safe.
Feel your body completely held,
Grounded and relaxed.
The silence is complete and deep.
Notice the stillness and the deep calm.
The time appears to have stopped.
Notice the stillness and calm growing within you.
Feel the peaceful emptiness.
That moment of pause between the end of a cycle and the start of a fresh new one.
You are now able to connect to your intuition and listen deeply to receive wisdom from the moon.
What nourishes me and brings me emotional fulfillment?
How can I nurture beauty,
Love or creativity in my life?
What desires am I ready to see grow and flourish?
Now send a clear message out to the universe,
Stating what you need,
Knowing that the energy of the moon will support you.
Give thanks to the moon for her support.
Feel completely grounded,
Restored,
Safe and refreshed.
Then slowly come out of the cave,
Knowing that you can go back to it anytime you would like to.
Now return to your sankalpa,
The intention you set at the beginning of the practice.
Remember it word by word and slowly repeat it to yourself mentally three times.
Slowly return to your physical body.
Begin to notice your breath.
Feel the support of the earth beneath you.
Now notice the sounds around you.
Maintain your eyes closed and observe the room you are in.
Start to bring gentle movements to your fingertips and toes.
Stretch your arms and your whole body.
With eyes closed,
Fall to the right side and slowly come up to sit,
Keeping the eyes closed until I tell you to open them.
Feel the after effect of the practice.
Start rubbing the palms of your hands together and place them above your closed eyes.
Slowly open your eyes in the palms of your hands.
Then gently remove your palms and look at a fixed spot in front of you to allow your eyes to adjust.
The practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.
