Welcome to your meditation today.

I'm introducing you to the Pure Love Meditation.

It's one of my favorite meditations and it comes from the Taoist tradition.

And I always go back to this meditation because it is so sweet and simple yet so profound.

So please join me in a beautiful comfortable seat,

Maybe sitting up on a bunch of pillows or on a block.

You can always do these meditations seated in a chair as well or leaning against the wall.

Just make sure that you are comfortable so that your body can relax and you can drop out of your mind into your body for your meditation.

Today's meditation comes from the Taoist tradition as a meditation for compassion,

Kindness and love.

And the idea is to bring ourselves in the space or frequency or energy of love,

Pure so that when any negativity comes from the outside that we have this,

I would say,

Kind of like a love bubble around us and we are just raising our own vibration of love so much that this negativity won't be able to penetrate through to us.

What I love about this meditation is also that it can be done as a visualization.

And I want to introduce a few options to you before we get into the actual meditation.

You can do this meditation simply using the mantra and the mantra is pure love.

You can do this meditation as a visualization with a person sitting across from you.

Imagine that person and it can be either a person you love very much and you imagine having that beautiful exchange from your heart to theirs of pure love.

You can do this as a person with a person sitting across from you who is challenging you right now.

This will be a little bit more difficult but actually very powerful because if you repeat this it may shift the energy that has built between the two of you and maybe for sure the energy that you have against this person.

And you're still using the mantra pure love in an exchange.

And you can also do it with a person that doesn't even exist yet.

I've done this many times before I was with Daniel visualizing my lover,

My future lover sitting across from me and just having that beautiful exchange from the heart.

And last but not least you can visualize yourself sitting across from you and do this as a self-love meditation.

Let's get started.

Closing the eyes you can place your hands comfortably either with your palms facing down or your palms facing up and then soften your face completely.

Lift the shoulders all the way up towards your ears.

Take the shoulders back and let the shoulder blades melt down so you feel that the space of the heart is nice and open.

And then take a few really deep breaths to broaden your collarbones.

And start with a count of four for the inhale and a count of four for the exhale.

And keep going with a few really deep breaths gradually expanding the count.

So from a count of four you can go to a count of five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Whatever feels comfortable and keep just feeling the expansion in the chest and the heart space.

And after your next long breath please begin to soften your breathing,

Letting go of any effort so the breath becomes involuntary and then dropping your awareness into the center of your chest,

Your heart.

For a few moments just notice how the heart feels,

What's going on there,

Does it feel a little contracted,

Does it feel very soft,

Receptive,

Open?

And then choose your variation for today.

And I recommend each day to stick to one variation,

One option if you want to do the visualization.

So whichever one you choose,

Again now to use the mantra,

Pure as you inhale,

Love as you exhale.

And just repeat those words silently and really think and feel love,

What would that feel like in your body,

Really get into the sensation,

The feeling of love as you are breathing pure love and exchanging this energy with the universe or with yourself.

And notice if any kind of resistance comes up and then just let it come up,

Notice it and let it pass through so that your meditation and the energy of love is flowing like a river over rocks,

Fluidity,

Softness.

When you get distracted just come back to your visualization and the mantra,

Pure love.

And if you have been visualizing a person across from you,

Just let that image slowly fade back to your own breath,

Your own body and stay for our remaining time with the breath and the space that you've created in your heart,

Taking a few really nice soft breaths.

And being aware that often everything starts with ourselves and our own love for ourselves and our ability to give to others depends on our ability to give to ourselves.

And so this meditation is a really beautiful one to fill your own heart and your own batteries.

So slowly take your hands together in front of your heart.

A moment of gratitude for your meditation time today,

Honoring your practice.

And then take another big,

Big breath in and as you exhale,

Gently bow your head to your heart.

Namaste.
