Thank you for choosing to travel mindfully with us today.

This meditation is intended to be used while driving in the car to cultivate a sense of gratitude and appreciation for yourself and all the ways you are showing up in the world every day.

Please stay focused on the road and alert at all times,

And if at any moment you become too relaxed,

Please turn this off and save it for another time.

I invite you to bring all your awareness into this present moment,

Allowing all your worries and fears to be set aside for another time,

Allowing your breath to deepen,

Focusing on your inhale as it comes through your nose and exhaling slowly through your nose,

Becoming very present in this moment,

Yet staying focused and alert on the road.

We are going to do a body scan,

And I want you to have a gentleness and compassion for yourself.

If there's any parts of your body that aren't functioning as described,

We encourage you to focus on the parts of your body that are serving you.

So bring your awareness to your eyes and have gratitude for being able to see,

For being able to see all the beauty in the world,

Being able to see the road,

Being able to see your loved ones,

Having gratitude for your nose,

Being able to smell things,

Being able to smell the beautiful flowers or delicious cooking,

Being able to sense the clean air coming in through your nose or crisp air on those cold mornings,

Having gratitude for your ears,

For being able to hear,

Being able to hear beautiful melodies or the birds singing or friends laughing,

Having gratitude for your mouth and tongue and teeth,

For being able to eat and chew and swallow food,

Being able to taste your food,

Having gratitude for all of your senses and how they enrich your life.

Continue to stay focused on the road,

Moving down to your heart,

Having gratitude for your heart,

For pumping blood without your conscious control,

For keeping you alive,

For all the blood circulating in your body,

Bringing nutrients to all of the cells,

Nourishing every cell in your body,

Having gratitude for your lungs,

For being able to breathe,

A life-giving function,

Having gratitude for your stomach and digestive organs,

For being able to process your food without your conscious control,

Allowing you to focus your energy elsewhere,

Having gratitude for all of your organs,

For doing an amazing job,

Helping your body remain in a state of homeostasis,

All functioning without your control,

Having gratitude for being able to control your bowel and bladder,

Gratitude for your hands and arms and their dexterity and all the things that you're able to do because of your fingers and hands,

Being able to drive a car and hold the steering wheel,

Being able to open jars and bottles,

Write,

Type,

And even scroll on your phone,

Having gratitude for your legs and feet,

For being able to carry you from place to place,

For being able to use the pedals in the car,

And just gratitude for these incredible bodies and all the functions that they take care of without us having to think about them.

We know that you live a busy life,

And we want to acknowledge how amazing you're doing,

Showing up in the world every single day.

Have gratitude for yourself for all the times you got out of bed when you didn't want to,

For all the times when you took the high road and were the bigger person.

Have gratitude for yourself for every time you saw the good in humanity,

For every time you offered a stranger a smile or held the door open,

Having gratitude for yourself for doing all the hard things you didn't want to do,

Having gratitude for being able to love yourself and others,

Gratitude for being able to experience happiness and joy even if they feel like fleeting moments,

And most of all,

Having gratitude for yourself in this moment,

For showing up in the world today,

And for continuing to live.

You are an amazing person,

And we hope that you see that in yourself.

We hope that you continue to carry this gratitude with you today and every day,

And thank you for choosing to travel mindfully with us today.
