Follow the bell into silence and appreciating the landscape of the environment and the beautiful refuge of this moment to stop the running,
Preferences,
Busyness in exchange for receptivity,
Fidelity and gratitude.
Sense the weight of your body sinking into whatever you're sitting on,
The exhale creating a partnership with gravity,
Connection,
Weight,
Savoring the balance between the left and right sit bones,
The tilt of the tailbone and the pubic bone to deliver the weight into the bedrock of the planet all the way to the molten magnetic core of the earth.
Savor the balance of the spine,
The four curves like a shock absorber with the pelvic floor gently lifted to send electricity and vitality from the earth to the millimeter where the sky begins just above the scalp.
Sensing how the breath interacts with each curve of the spine and the most receptive to the areas to be open.
So as we bring a close application of mindfulness to embodiment,
We include our senses and everything appearing to the senses as our allies in the present.
So again,
As you listen to the bell,
Follow it into silence to lay bare subtlety all around you in the soundscape.
So as you attune to the subtlety of the sound,
The quietest thing you can perceive,
Which may even be happening inside your own body,
Include in your awareness the most obvious sensation on or inside the skin boundary.
Meeting these appearances without any sense of it being you or yours.
Bring your mind back to the last 24 hours to appreciate the most beautiful thing you experienced.
Any loving exchanges,
Completed tasks,
Projects that were advanced and allow the positive energy to radiate through the water of your body to the trillions of cells that make up the animal.
And so we invite enjoyment to be the glue between the body and the consciousness.
So as you continue to relax in the position and remaining poised,
The awareness is dilated around you and within you.
Vigilant awareness that cannot be startled as much as the body is relaxed.
And like a navigator,
Our attention moves with the sensations of breath wherever you can feel them as if they're holding hands.
And about every five breath cycles,
Natural,
Unmanipulated,
We check in for the balance between vigilant awareness and physical release.
And in the midst of all of it,
Keeping a jovial light spirit,
There is no such thing as a mistake and no committee to present credentials to.
This is for us.
Continue to release possession in exchange for beholding,
Welcoming all appearances without refusal or grasping.
Continue to deepen the exhale,
Allowing the inhale to spontaneously arise like the wind in the trees.
So as we play with maintaining this balance between not too tight and not too loose,
Follow the sensations of breath,
Checking in about every five breath cycles while maintaining vigilant awareness of the surroundings.
You would not be startled if a loud noise suddenly occurred.
Now,
Having checked in a few times,
Have you noticed a trend in the energy of the meditation?
Does it appear more excited or dull?
Is the mind more attracted to the exhale or the inhale?
Dullness may be countered by opening the eyes,
Guarding against the chin dropping and leaning slightly forward towards the pubic bone,
Savoring these small adjustments.
The excitation,
Lean slightly back into the tailbone,
Allow the breath to move around the kidneys and the floating ribs and staying with the exhale all the way until its very end.
Observing the little death,
A moment of uncertainty where we witness the inhale arise out of the abyss of the exhale.
With more gratitude each time the inhale arises,
More savoring of the details and the senses and the interior theater of the mind,
Bring the awareness to dilate inside the skin boundary,
Find the outline of the skin boundary.
As the breath rises and falls within it,
Sense the water of your body and the trillions of cells that make up the body,
Cellular communities radiating gratitude,
Healing,
Loving vibes all the way into the heart of one particular cell.
Sensing the nucleus,
The DNA libraries carrying 1,
500 encyclopedia volumes of information in each and radiating this loving kindness,
Gratitude to our ancestors through the portal of the DNA,
Right into the void spaces between the helixes,
The pristine primordial reality behind all appearances.
So as a wave we arise up out of the still sea of awareness,
Radiating this loving kindness through the water of the body to the pores of the skin and like trillions of red lasers in every direction we radiate loving kindness to the biosphere,
All the other beings made of cells,
Base pairs,
DNA,
Radiate the loving kindness to the dimensional folds,
The spirit beings,
The wanders and the spirit guides.
Please continue to stay around us,
Inspire us,
Awaken our instincts,
Our intuition,
All of our intelligences in balance.
Protect the beings around us we share our lives with,
Some we hold more dear than we do our own selves and for our fragile,
Powerful,
Beautiful,
Diverse ecology,
The flora and the fauna of which we are embedded,
Entangled.
Imagine on the rays of these shafts we send in every direction,
Form little hooks which bring the blessings of all the beings back into our hearts,
Sweetens the water of our body,
Deepens our breath so that we may rise from the meditation in full presence and fidelity.
