Welcome to this meditation meant to help you relax into the perfection of the present moment.

Allow yourself to relax in the space that you are already in.

You may be sitting or you may be resting comfortably in a chair or lying in a bed.

Just begin by opening your awareness to the sounds that you hear,

Perhaps off in the distance or very nearby.

Just notice which sounds you are drawn to most and allow those sounds to simply wash over you as your body releases tension and lets go of any resistance to being right here and now.

Feel as you listen to these sounds that any tendency to judge what's happening simply fades away and is replaced by the fascination,

Nuance of each sound.

Feel your resistance begin to shift as you relax even deeper into the support that is underneath you,

Bringing your attention to your body,

Sensing gravity as you allow the weight of your body to simply let go.

And as you do,

Feel your body spreading its weight comfortably against the support that is beneath you,

Observing any sensations within the body.

Perhaps there's a tingling or tightness,

Whatever sensations you feel,

Just allowing the sensations to simply be.

Feel how energy comes and goes,

Similar to your attention,

Which also comes and goes like the wind.

As you breathe,

You can begin to notice your body and its willingness to receive deeper and more expansive breaths.

And as you do,

You can also allow your focus to be guided towards a particular part of your body.

Perhaps this part requires more love and attention,

Respect and appreciation.

And as you exhale,

Allowing tension to melt in whatever part this is.

And as you continue to breathe,

You can also begin to guide your attention to the breath itself,

Noticing where the breath moves within and how it naturally releases tension through its movement.

Perhaps also observing the temperature of the breath on the inhale and on the exhale.

Feel as the breath effortlessly passes through your relaxed body,

Melting tensions and deepening your focus into a state of stillness and calm.

And in that still place,

Awareness to any emotions you might be feeling.

You might notice one or two more dominant emotions,

Or perhaps it's a blend of different feelings.

And it's also possible that you're uncertain about what you're feeling.

That's okay.

Simply allow whatever emotions.

Now,

Shift your awareness to encompass your entire experience,

Observing sensations,

Energy as it flows throughout your body,

Feeling the experience of being.

Noticing the rhythm of your breath,

Acknowledging any thoughts and feelings that are still present.

As you bring mindful awareness to your experience,

You allow everything to be just as it is.

Nothing needs to change.

Everything is okay,

Exactly as it is in this moment.

To help affirm this awareness,

Just gently saying to yourself,

I am grounded.

I embrace this moment fully.

Taking a deep breath,

And as you exhale,

Emptying any and all distractions from grounding into the perfection of this present moment.

And as you do,

Allowing yourself to attune to the energy of your heart,

You may even want to bring your hands to your heart to help ground your awareness even further.

Feel as your awareness settles here,

Really settles,

And know that this is a place where peace emanates from.

Your heart is so intelligent and so steady.

Feeling the affirmation resonate here.

I am grounded.

I am aware.

I embrace this moment fully.

And as you empty the breath,

Feeling the gentle rhythms of the heart,

Pulsing its powerful energy as the breath supports this flow of peace,

Watch as the mind also follows.

Peace is simple.

Peace does not overcomplicate.

It simply is.

Feeling that presence,

That is-ness,

Here within this heart space.

Knowing that this space is always here for you.

Taking a final deep breath in,

And slowly exhaling as we come to the end of this meditation,

Bringing movement back.

Start to move your fingers,

Your toes,

And gently blink your eyes open.
