Transcript

Hello and welcome.

Today in this session we're going to have a beautiful contemplation,

But before we begin that we're just going to really set the scene and take our consciousness to a place where the contemplation will just sink that much deeper.

Okay,

So just find somewhere nice and comfortable,

Prepare yourself just to relax.

You can lie down or you can sit up,

Whatever is comfortable and most suitable for you.

Okay,

So just closing your eyes and just starting to hum with me,

So just hum along.

We're going to hum for about five minutes and then once we've reached a nice deep state of immersion,

What we're going to do is we're going to then start the contemplation.

So let's begin.

Just nice deep breath in and humming with the mouth closed,

Nice and slow,

Really enjoy it.

Use my breath and my humming as a guide,

But always follow your body,

Go deeper and deeper with each hum,

Feeling those sensations vibrating inside your body.

These are the last few hums,

So really enjoy them and just gently come back to your normal breathing.

Now,

Just shift your attention to your body,

Noticing its weight and presence,

Observe any sensations you feel,

Maybe warmth,

Tingling or perhaps a subtle beat of your heart,

Don't judge or attempt to change any of these sensations,

Just simply be aware of them,

Allowing yourself to be fully present in your body.

Now,

Gently expand your awareness beyond your physical form to perceive the space around you,

The space is quiet,

Fast,

Untouched by the physical objects it contains.

Just using your feeling,

Imagination,

Just to take your awareness as far as you can go,

See if you can find any boundaries or any limitations.

As you explore this vast,

Infinite space,

Imagine a bucket that's capable of collecting this infinite,

Intangible essence of space around you and just begin to gather this space,

This emptiness,

Filling your bucket with the quiet,

The vastness and the pure potentiality.

Notice any feelings that arise when collecting this emptiness,

Now take this emptiness and place it on the top of your head,

As you place it there,

Just so,

So gently start to pour the emptiness and the spaciousness,

Feeling of the outside,

Pour that into the top of your head,

Gently allowing it just to seep all the way down,

Filling every part of you with the serene,

Expansive quality,

Allow it to permeate every cell,

Every fibre of you,

Feeling of the outside.

If you feel the need to collect some more emptiness at any point,

Just take your feeling,

Imagination and just collect a little bit more and just bring it back to the top of your head and just feel that emptiness seeping all the way in,

Saturating every single part of you,

Feel like your physical self,

As you rest in this sensation of being filled with emptiness,

How does it feel?

Is there any separation between you and the outside?

Don't use your memories,

Just use your direct experience,

What are you experiencing now,

Without any memory of the past,

Any concepts from the mind,

You are that emptiness,

That vast,

Boundless and inherently peaceful space,

Just pure awareness of being.

As you sit in this realisation,

Understand that your true nature is this space,

This emptiness.

It is the canvas upon which the experiences of life are painted,

You are that which is aware of the body,

The world but you are not limited to these expressions.

As you rest in this awareness of being,

Recognise that this understanding of your true nature as emptiness and space extends beyond the confines of this meditation.

With this profound insight you can carry this into every aspect of your life,

Transforming your interaction with the world and your perception of yourself.

Allow this realisation to bring with it a sense of peace,

Resilience and a deep seated joy that is not dependent on external circumstances.

In the days and weeks to come,

Practice returning to this space of emptiness and boundless awareness amidst the activities of your life.

From a place of spacious awareness,

Compassion and understanding flow more freely.

You see others not just as separate entities but as beautiful expressions of the same vast emptiness that you are.

This realisation fosters a sense of connection and empathy,

Bridging the gaps that might have seemed insurmountable before.

Encourage yourself to stay maintained in this sense of curiosity and openness as you move forward.

The path of self-enquiry is endless,

Each step revealing new layers of understanding and connection.

The challenges and joys of life are no longer obstacles or goals but rather expressions of the vast play of consciousness.

As this meditation comes to a close,

Take a moment to express gratitude for this journey into the depths of your being.

Feel that gratitude in your heart and if there's anyone in your world who you have any resistance towards,

Just picture them in your third eye now,

See a golden halo behind their head,

Connect to your heart,

Breathe in love and then send that love to them and free yourself from the resistance.

And again.

You are the space,

The emptiness,

The awareness within which all of life unfolds.

This realisation is your anchor,

Your refuge and your greatest strength.

Let it guide you,

Transform you and lead you home to the truth of who you really are.
