Good morning and welcome.

My name is Mark Rowland and today we're going to begin the day with one of the most freeing truths you can carry.

That is,

You are enough.

Exactly as you are and in this very moment.

You don't have to earn it.

You don't have to prove it.

And you don't need to change before you can feel it.

During the meditation,

We'll gently release the old stories that tell us that we're not enough and we'll replace them with a steady living awareness of your worth.

Before we begin though,

I just want to say I really love hearing from my followers here on Insight Timer,

So if there are any courses,

Meditations or themes you'd like me to create in the future,

Please do share them.

You can either leave a comment or mention it in your review after the session.

Your suggestions really help shape the meditations I bring you.

With that being said,

Let's begin.

Find a comfortable position and let this be a time of complete permission to simply be.

Let your eyes close softly.

Let your shoulders drop away from your ears.

Take a deep,

Slow breath in and exhale,

Gently releasing the past night,

Releasing the tension again,

A deep breath in and a long,

Easy breath out.

Feel the weight of your body being held by the surface beneath you.

Notice how you are supported without needing to ask,

Without needing to be anything other than you are right now.

Let the muscles in your face soften.

Relax your jaw.

Let your hands rest with ease,

Palms open if you like as a gesture of receiving.

Bring your awareness to your breath,

Your most constant companion.

Notice the coolness of the air as you inhale and the gentle warmth as you exhale.

Let each breath be an anchor.

When thoughts arise,

Plans for today or memories of yesterday,

Simply acknowledge them kindly and then return to this breath in the present.

Feel how this moment is hold,

Nothing missing,

Nothing extra,

Just you,

Breathing here.

Now,

Gently notice if there is a whisper inside that says,

I'm not enough.

Don't judge it,

Just notice if it's there.

Imagine you could hold that belief in your hands as if it were a small object.

Study its shape,

Its colour,

Its weight.

Recognise that this belief is not your truth.

It came from somewhere.

Words spoken long ago,

Comparisons,

Impossible standards,

But it's not who you are.

Now,

Imagine this object of not enough beginning to dissolve like a mist in the sunlight.

As it fades,

You feel yourself getting lighter,

Freer.

A soft space opens up in your chest.

Into that space,

Place these words.

I am enough.

On your inhale,

Silently say,

I am.

And on your exhale,

Enough.

Inhale,

I am.

Exhale,

Enough.

Repeat that a few more times by yourself.

Feel these words sink into your shoulders,

Your heart,

Your belly,

Your hands and feet.

Imagine these words as seeds planting themselves deep,

Deep in the soil of your being.

They are nourished by your breath,

By the light of your awareness,

By the kindness you offer to yourself.

See them sprout,

Growing into a quiet forest of belonging and trust in who you are.

Now picture yourself stepping into the day ahead.

You may have tasks,

Conversations,

Challenges,

But underneath all of them,

You are steady in the truth of your worth.

See yourself moving from this truth,

Speaking from it,

Making choices from it.

Not rushing to prove,

But allowing yourself to simply be.

Imagine small pauses during the day.

Times where you place your hand on your heart,

Take a deep breath and say,

I am enough.

Now bring your attention back to the feeling of your body being supported.

Take three deep breaths,

Each one drawing in a little more of your own truth.

Each exhale,

Letting go of doubt.

Gently move your fingers,

Wiggle your toes and when you are ready,

Open up your eyes.

Thank you for meditating with me this morning.

You've begun your day anchored in the truth of your own worth.

Carry it with you,

Let it guide you and remember,

You always have been enough.

If there are any other themes or practices you'd like to see from me here on Insight Timer,

I'd love to hear your ideas.

Just leave me a comment or mention it in a review and I read every one and reply to them all.

Your suggestions really help shape my next meditations.

But for now,

Thank you for sharing this time with me this morning,

I really appreciate it.

Have a beautiful rest of your day.

Go in peace.

Namaste.

Beautiful. This will become a regular morning meditation. It's taken me 50 years to learn that I am enough and understand the reasons why I thought I wasn't. I've come a long way recently, with the help of psychotherapy, meditation and mindful self compassion. However, I have a life limiting illness, severe ME, and i also have to learn to accept and live day to day with the knowledge that I will never recover. I wonder whether this is something you could address in a meditation? Living with the knowledge that one will always be ill. Thank you.
