Hello,
And welcome back to day five.
Today,
We will be reflecting on Rumi's poem,
Dance when you're broken open.
The session today celebrates the energy of joy,
The soul's natural state when we stop holding back.
Rumi often wrote about dance,
Spinning,
Movement,
Not as escape,
But rather as a return.
A way of coming back into presence through the body.
Today,
We will honour that joy in stillness,
In breath,
And in subtle movement within.
So take a deep breath and gently smile as you arrive.
Dance when you're broken open.
Dance if you've torn the bandage off.
Dance in the middle of fighting.
Dance in your blood.
Dance when you're perfectly free.
This isn't about performance.
This is about freedom.
Rumi reminds us,
We don't wait for joy.
We let it rise even when things are messy and in chaos.
In fact,
Especially then.
You don't need to dance with your body.
You can dance with your breath,
With your spirit.
Dance with your willingness to feel alive.
Let's explore that now in our meditation.
Bring your awareness to the body.
Feel its weight,
Its aliveness.
With your next breath now,
Invite a little movement,
Maybe a gentle little sway or soft lift the spine.
There's no right or wrong.
Just move gently in a way that feels good for you.
Now,
Begin to breathe into your heart space.
Let the breath lift you slightly on the inhale and settle you gently on the exhale.
This is your dance.
Quiet,
Personal,
Eternal,
Internal,
Real.
If joy rises,
Welcome it in with open arms.
If sorrow shows up,
That's okay.
Welcome that too.
This is the whole dance.
Light and shadow,
You are all.
Let the energy keep moving through like a light beneath the surface.
Breath dancing,
Life pulsing,
Heart beating.
Feel yourself as movement.
Feel it even in the stillness.
Feel the joy that doesn't require a reason.
You are allowed to feel good,
To breathe fully,
To let go and be free.
Let everything slow down now.
Feel the echo of that inner movement.
Feel the warmth and energy it left behind.
Rumi's poetry is a reminder that we are not meant to be rigid.
We are meant to move and feel to live fully.
Today,
Carry the rhythm of your breath like a song,
Even in quiet moments.
Let it move you gently inward.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Tomorrow,
We move on to day six.
And we will be looking at Rumi's poem,
Let Yourself Be Silently Drawn.
Until then,
Have a wonderful rest of your day.
Go in peace.
Namaste.
