A beautiful visualisation for when you wake up feeling in need of some restoration before you start your day. Sometimes we wake up not feeling as rejuvinated as we'd like, this practice aims to bring some healing energy to uplift you and help you have a great start to your day.

Hi,

I'm Louise Thorvald.

Have you ever woken up in the morning and felt more tired,

Probably,

Than when you went to sleep?

If so,

Then this meditation is for you.

There's some nights where I don't sleep as well,

For no particular reason,

But I find meditation,

First thing in the morning,

To be a really good way of resetting my system and restoring myself.

So this meditation is a really nice guided visualisation to help rejuvenate and set you up for your day.

Whenever you're ready,

Just closing your eyes,

Making sure you're seated comfortably,

And take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in,

Breathing in through the nose,

Pausing at the top for a few moments,

And then releasing,

Letting go.

And take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in,

Breathing in through the nose,

Pausing at the top,

And then breathing out through the mouth.

When you start to get towards the end of the breath,

Just squeeze your belly,

Just a little bit,

And see if you can squeeze out any remnants of breath that are left.

Letting go of the night,

Moving into the day,

Breath stopped.

I'd like to start with setting an intention for our practice.

I find the morning the best time to do this,

So just spending a few moments thinking about something you want to take with you into your day.

It could be a mindset,

Just one word.

Something simple,

Maybe a goal,

Something you want to achieve.

Just bringing it into your mind's eye.

You allow the breath to return to normal,

In and out through the nose.

When you have that intention,

Just breathe into it,

Take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in,

And slowly release,

Let it go,

Let it drift off into the atmosphere,

Nothing to do with it,

Just let it be,

And trust the process.

I'd like you to imagine,

Picture,

Or pretend that a bright white light is floating above your head.

It could be sunlight,

You may even feel the warm sun on your face,

On your body.

But just imagine,

To the top of your head,

This beautiful,

Bright,

Healing light.

Just imagine this light penetrating through the top of your head,

And as it does,

Sending healing energy to every cell of your body.

It moves down into your forehead,

Across your eyes,

Your cheeks,

Your mouth and jaw,

Filling your shoulders,

Floating down the top of the arms,

Chest and back,

Thighs,

All being penetrated with this beautiful,

Healing,

Bright light.

Feeling it flow into your knees,

Calves,

Ankles,

And into your feet.

Imagine your whole body is now full of this bright,

Healing light,

Giving you energy for your day.

Just spending a few moments,

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

This beautiful,

Healing energy.

Just starting to bring some movement back into our hands and feet.

Wiggling your fingers and your toes,

Just gently bringing some movement back into your body,

Perhaps rolling the neck and the shoulders,

Bringing some of that beautiful energy into your day.

Whenever you're ready,

Opening your eyes,

Perhaps even bringing a smile onto your face if that feels comfortable to you.

And have a beautiful day.
