Hi,
I'm Nuiya's Fall Girl.
Do you struggle with change?
Accepting it,
Be it good or bad?
I do,
So I find this meditation particularly helpful.
We don't always have to embrace change with open arms.
Sometimes we just have to accept it for what it is.
So we're going to be doing a mindfulness practice with some guided visualisation to help us do that.
So whenever you're ready,
Getting started by sitting down or even lying down if that's comfortable for you,
In a comfortable position,
Rolling your shoulders back and closing your eyes and taking a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and ever so gently letting that go,
Being free to sigh it out through the mouth or breathe out through the nose.
One more time,
A long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and then gently let that go,
Breathing out through the nose this time if that's available to you.
One more time,
A long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and gently let that go and as you let that go,
Just start to imagine,
Picture or pretend a stream in the distance.
Perhaps it's somewhere you've been before,
Perhaps not.
Maybe there's grass or trees nearby.
You may even like to see a path before you that leads to the stream,
Which is just in the short distance.
Maybe it's a sunny day,
A certain smell in the air,
One of your favourites perhaps.
Just noticing anything you can see or hear or smell.
Perhaps you have shoes on,
Maybe even your barefoot.
And just gently and slowly,
In your own time and at your own pace,
Start moving towards the stream,
Glistening beautiful sounds of water.
You can hear nearby,
Just a few steps away.
And as you come up to the stream,
Just feel free to kneel down beside it,
Safely in your own space.
You reach into the stream and you notice the water is the perfect temperature.
It's beautifully clear.
You swirl your hand inside the stream,
Settling,
Realising that even water changes.
It can change its state.
It's fluid.
And we can learn to be like water.
And if you notice any thoughts,
Sensations that arise,
Just put them on a leaf beside you,
Above the stream,
And let them float away.
Just gently enjoying the beautiful sounds of the stream.
And any thoughts,
Place them onto a leaf,
Put them in the stream and watch them float away.
Spending the next few moments here now,
Until you hear the chime,
And when you do,
Just sit gently with your eyes closed.
Just coming back down,
In your own pace and at your own time.
Knowing that you can return to this place whenever it feels comfortable and right.
Starting to wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Perhaps rolling your shoulders back,
Taking a nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Gently opening your eyes.
Thank you for meditating with me.
