In this meditation, we connect with the denseness of the Earth and our physical bodies. We connect with the spaciousness and freedom of the universe. Being human is the mixing of denseness and flow in this body. Welcome more movement and flow and balance into your human experience.

Taking a deep breath.

Bringing your awareness into this body.

Noticing how your breath is bringing you into the present moment.

The breath connects you in with what is.

What is the sound that you're hearing?

Noticing the sounds that are far,

Far away across the earth from us right now.

And noticing the smells in the air.

And knowing that across the globe from us,

There is a beautiful flower with so much fragrance and smelling that flower.

Noticing the gift of this pause,

Of this moment of awareness.

And we notice the earth beneath us,

It feels solid.

The structure of the earth reaching up to meet us where we are sitting right now.

And we set our intention to soften into the earth.

It's great to be solid,

Meeting the solid ground and just sitting on top of the earth.

But if we can soften,

We start to blend our energy with the earth.

We start to notice how our own vibration is that of nature.

And so it can blend with the nature that is beneath us.

Finding the similarities between our energetic vibration and that of the earth.

And we start to notice the structure within the earth.

There are crystals and there are pockets of water,

Loose soil and heavy clay.

And we notice that we have all of that within us as well.

The more dense organs,

The more hollow organs,

The tissues,

The muscles,

The water,

The air.

Pockets of flow and pockets of denseness all in this body.

Taking a moment to do a body scan and noticing the ratio of denseness to flow within your body.

If on a scale of one to ten,

Ten were dense like a rock and one were flowing like a river.

Giving a number to where you are on this continuum at this moment.

And noticing that that number might be changing.

That as you tune into the denseness and the flow within your body,

As you bring awareness,

Things start to change and shift within this body.

In this body scan,

Noticing the really dense parts of your body.

Noticing places in your body with tension,

With a tightness,

Maybe a little discomfort.

And we just say hello to those places and we acknowledge how hard they're trying.

They are being good stewards,

Holding the rules and the boundaries.

Holding the love.

Tension in the neck is holding the head in a certain direction.

And tension in the back is simply holding structure within your life.

And we make a choice to soften these dense parts of the body with gratitude.

Thank you for holding.

Thank you for being a good steward of all my priorities.

And as we soften these parts of the body,

We bring our breath into the body.

And we start to notice how the vibrations in this dense area can overlap with the vibrations in the more flowy parts of the body.

There are places where these vibrations match.

We find common ground.

The water element is all about flow.

We can try to control the water,

Try to keep it in one place.

We can use control and will force to try to make the water behave a certain way.

But all the water wants to do is flow.

It takes your intuition and welcomes your intuition to determine where the water is going.

And it could go down one path and then change to a different direction.

And change again and again.

Water finds the easiest path.

What makes sense is the next step.

Controlling the water is stopping the motion.

It's creating limits and boundaries.

Trying to make the water dense and solid.

When the gift and brilliance of water is movement.

It's going places.

And in Chinese medicine,

The water feeds the wood.

When we have this movement,

This flow,

This ease and intuition.

It feeds your creativity.

It's that movement and flow that welcomes you to grow and create and build and dream.

When we stop controlling,

We can dream.

Those dense part of our bodies,

Those tense and dense portions of this physical body.

Don't have any movement.

They feel stuck and frustrated.

Aren't quite sure which way to go or how to get there.

There's a frustration to being stuck.

With no choices.

So we welcome in the flow.

The flow of this water.

To gently soften these dense spaces.

Welcoming the water to soak in.

And with it,

They bring the movement of life.

The nourishment that brings excitement and growth.

Really feeling that flow through your body.

Feeling the water that's flowing.

Your heart pumping the blood and all of this water through the body.

Going all the way to the extremities.

Feeling the water flow through your tissues.

Noticing where the water is stagnant in your tissues.

And welcoming it to flow.

You might notice water going all the way down to the tips of your toes.

And then switching directions and coming back up the body.

All the way to the crown of the head and back down.

Snaking through this body.

Bringing movement.

Bringing a softness.

And then tuning into what's not water.

And starting to find that they're mixing.

The water is mixing with your body.

Bringing the space and the movement for growth and dreams.

Creation.

Manifestation.

The water is helping you to be unstuck.

And taking another moment to identify how dense and how flowy you are right now.

On that same scale of one to ten.

With absolutely no judgment.

Might be the same number.

Might be more dense or more flowy.

Just noticing.

Now that we have a little bit more space and flow in this body.

We bring our awareness up to the crown of our head.

And notice where your body ends.

And the sky begins.

The vibration of your crown.

And the vibration of the sky.

Welcoming your crown to soften.

And to start to blend with the vibration of the sky.

Start to feel that lightness.

It's a different kind of flow.

It's a very airy light flow.

And as you reach up deeper into the sky.

You notice that there are different qualities to this energy.

The energy closer to the earth has a lot more gravity.

Pulling downward.

The energy at the edge of the universe is super light.

Floating.

Weightless.

And as we tune into that weightless quality at the edge of the universe.

We identify the weightless quality within this body.

And noticing where you feel it in this body.

You might feel a little bit weightless at your heart.

You might feel a little bit weightless in every single cell of your body.

Tuning into the subatomic level of your body.

These atoms made up of protons and neutrons.

And then a whole bunch of space.

Connecting them to the electrons.

Tuning into the weightlessness in that space.

You are space.

At the core of your being you are weightless.

Weightless.

And bringing your awareness back to those parts of the body that had some tension.

That felt dense.

And taking a moment to feel the weightlessness.

And the spaciousness within.

In order to grow.

In order to learn.

In order to create and dream.

We need space.

With tremendous gratitude for our body.

For holding it together.

For working so hard.

For being a good steward of all of our priorities.

We now welcome a little bit of space.

With a gentleness and a compassion.

We welcome a loosening.

Loosening of the grip.

Softening of the rules.

So that there's that space.

For excitement.

And joy.

And manifesting.

Finding that you're inhaling with awareness.

Of what is in this body.

And exhaling as you expand.

Feeling your energy expanding.

Feeling these tight muscles expanding.

Feeling the organs expanding.

The liver is considered the general of this body.

The liver is doing 500 jobs all at the same time.

Managing toxins.

Managing the sugars.

Managing digestion.

And we just say thank you to our liver.

For doing such a beautiful job for this body.

Managing the household.

Managing everybody's emotions.

Managing all the textiles.

The food,

The clothes,

The furniture.

And we welcome in a little bit of flow.

A little bit of water.

To bring movement and flow and ease.

We welcome in this light weightlessness.

The spaciousness.

We're welcoming the liver.

To take a little pause.

To stop trying so hard.

To release the controls of all the things we must do.

In this moment.

And in that spaciousness the liver looks around.

And gets its bearings.

It gets excited because it sees what it wants to be doing.

Where it wants to be headed.

The excitement of switching directions.

Where the wood gets to fuel the fire.

Instead of holding everything together.

The wood gets to fuel the fire of excitement and joy and love.

The wood can fuel the fire of expansiveness.

Returning to this flow in our body.

The flow of water up and down.

Switching directions.

Switching directions with movement.

Bringing our awareness to the flow of space in this body.

Feeling light.

And we set our intention.

To continue having space and movement.

In every now moment.

Releasing the holding.

So that we can simply be.
