Welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
Today's meditation is creating awareness to choose empowerment.
Hopefully by the end you'll have identified some patterns and maybe found find some ways to reframe your mental models to choose empowerment.
Let's begin.
Settle into your body,
Finding stillness,
Softness.
Let your body arrive,
Even if your mind isn't caught up.
Bring your attention to your breath,
Following the ins and outs.
Maybe slowing the breath down,
Evening it out,
Inviting calmness with each inhale,
And with each exhale release any rolls or masks that you might be carrying.
Anchor into this presence that you're creating,
And allow this to be a space for truth,
Clarity,
And new possibility.
Breathe in,
I return to the center of myself.
Breathe out,
I release any self-judgment.
There are three primary roles in what we call the drama triangle or the disempowered part of us.
Imagine a time or bring your awareness to a time when you might have gotten stuck in one of these roles.
The victim is the character who blames others,
They feel powerless,
And avoid responsibility.
The rescuer feels obligated to help others,
Even if it requires taking on more than they can handle.
And the persecutor is the judge,
Critical of others,
Demanding.
Which role can you think of an example of?
Remember,
You are not the role you play,
Or played.
It was a place and a moment in time.
Breathe in,
I bring awareness,
Kind awareness,
To how I show up.
Breathe out,
I am not the role I play in any moment.
With that same role or moment in time,
When you were stuck in that drama triangle role,
Now imagine shifting that role.
In the empowerment side,
There are also three roles.
What would it feel like to move from victim to creator?
Inspired by goals,
Owning your actions,
Feeling a sense of being powerful.
Breathe in,
I am not stuck,
I am the author of my next step.
How would it feel to move from rescuer to coach?
Not saving others,
But empowering them,
Using curiosity to help them discover their own solutions.
Breathe in,
I can support without saving.
Breathe out,
I hold space,
Not solutions.
And what would it feel like to move from persecutor to challenger?
Holding others accountable,
From a place of belief in their potential.
Not judging,
But supporting.
Breathe in,
I can offer truth with compassion.
Breathe out,
I can set boundaries with love.
Now imagine yourself as a person who is not alone.
Imagine yourself stepping out of a shadow.
The shadow of the role that you no longer want to play.
A role that may have become a habit or a safe place.
And what you step into is the light of presence,
Of clarity,
Of self-leadership.
Stepping into intentionality and choice.
Breathe in,
I am not the role I play.
Breathe out,
I am my response.
Creating awareness.
Creating awareness of these roles,
These human roles,
That we all play.
And providing alternatives that you can with intention choose.
And from this place in the light that you've chosen,
Feel your feet grounded,
The earth supporting you,
Your breath strong and steady.
My friends,
You do not need to control or disappear to be powerful.
Your power lives in awareness,
In choice.
In presence.
What is the most empowered next step you can take in your life?
Breathe in,
I am strong.
Breathe out,
I am grounded.
Feel the spaciousness of this inner world now.
You are not reactive,
You are responsive.
If it feels good,
Maybe invite one or both hands to your heart,
Whispering inwardly,
I remember who I am.
I choose presence over reaction.
I meet challenge with clarity.
I empower myself and others with love.
Breathe in,
Slowly bringing your awareness.
Back into your body.
Wiggling the fingers and toes,
Maybe moving the head from side to side.
Noticing the space that you're in once again.
Maybe opening the eyes and taking a great big stretch.
You created this,
And it's available anytime,
Anywhere.
I hope you have a beautiful day.
