Transcript

Welcome.

This is a guided visualization meditation using the power of Reiki.

It aims to help you calm,

Relax,

And heal the mind and the body.

Begin by finding a quiet space where you can be comfortable sitting or lying down for the duration of the session.

Allow your hands to rest gently on your lap or by your sides.

When you are ready,

Close your eyes softly.

We will start with three cleansing breaths to center ourselves into the room.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in through your nose and into your diaphragm and gently exhale through the mouth.

Feel your body beginning to relax.

Inhale deeply,

Feel the belly rise up and exhale fully,

Letting go of any tension in your shoulders,

Your jaw,

And your forehead.

Final deep breath into the stomach and you may wish to sigh out the exhale here,

Allowing yourself to sink deeper into stillness and into peace.

I would like to invite you to imagine you are standing at the edge of a beautiful open meadow.

The air is warm and soft around you and above you,

The sky stretches wide,

A gentle cloudless blue.

The sun is shining,

Casting a golden glow over everything it touches.

Before you lies a vast rolling field of lavender.

The plant sways slowly in the breeze,

Their violet blossom moving like waves in the sunlight.

As you take a deep breath in,

The scent of lavender drifts towards you.

You notice a soothing,

Calming properties like a gentle whisper to your nervous system.

You begin to walk slowly into the meadow.

With each step,

You feel light and supported.

You are feeling grounded,

Safe,

And at peace.

As you continue walking,

You find a quiet spot in the middle of the field.

Rest here comfortably and feel the warmth,

Soft earth beneath you.

Breathe in and breathe out,

Feeling completely supported by the ground.

Watch the open sky above you as it reminds you that you are part of something infinite.

Take a moment to place your hands gently over your heart or wherever you feel cold.

Imagine a soft glowing light just above your head.

This light represents Reiki energy,

A universal life force filled with love,

Healing,

And peace.

Gently give it your permission to assist in this session.

You may say silently to yourself,

I give permission to Reiki to assist me with peace,

Love,

And healing.

With that said,

Visualize a ball of light slowly flowing down onto the top of your head.

A gentle stream of warm,

Golden,

Or violet light.

You may feel a gentle sense of energy on your skin or a warmth of a tingle where the light touches your body.

If you cannot feel anything,

Know that that is okay.

And be assured that when you visualize the Reiki light,

The energy is working through your body.

Gently breathe in and breathe out.

Slowly,

The light moves from on top of your head down to your neck and across your shoulders.

Feel the tension in these areas ease as it travels down to your arms and your hands.

Feel the light absorb through your skin into the muscles.

Relaxing the elbows,

The wrists,

And the fingers.

Stay here for a moment and breathe.

Now watch as the Reiki energy slowly flows down your chest and into your heart.

See your upper body filled with calm and love.

You may choose to visualize a glow in that area of your body.

As Reiki continues down to your hips,

Your thighs,

And your calves,

And all the way to your feet.

Feel the light connecting you to the earth.

Let the heaviness flow out.

Let the earth take all the weight.

As you let this healing light settle into your whole being,

Trust that it knows exactly where to go to heal,

Restore,

And balance you where you need it most.

Stay here and bring your focus to your breath as you receive support from Reiki.

We will stay here for a few moments,

Surrounded by lavender,

Held by the earth,

And washed in Reiki light.

Feel your breath rise and fall gently,

And with every breath,

Feeling a little lighter,

A little more open,

And a little bit more whole.

If a thought rises,

It's okay.

Just come back to your breath and come back to the feeling of peace,

To the scent of lavender,

To the warmth of the light,

And to the quiet rhythm of your breath.

When you are ready,

Bring your awareness back to your body.

Feel the surface beneath you,

And gently move your fingers and toes.

Bring your hand gently on your heart and thank yourself for showing up today.

You have received Reiki healing just by being open to it.

Slowly open your eyes.

Carry this calm with you as you go about your day,

And know that you are grounded,

You are whole,

And you are connected to the healing always.
