Holy hush.
How do you find that peace center?
How do you find that place within that sacred space that is a calm place where you can rid yourself of anxiety just for a moment as you just kind of be.
There's one way in my yoga class that they teach,
Tina teaches us a breath practice that really I think helps to get into that peaceful place,
That holy hush place.
And so I'm just going to ask you to do this with me.
It's just a breath thing.
So I want you to be in a comfortable position.
Maybe sitting upright on a pillow and just cross-legged maybe on the floor.
Maybe you want to be sitting in your favorite chair with a blanket wrapped around you.
I just want you to be comfortable,
Not holding anything but comfortably sitting.
And now I want you to take in a deep breath.
We're going to do three different exhales.
The first one is a way of finding resonance in your whole being.
So you take a breath in and then you hum out.
So it sounds like this.
Breathe in.
Okay,
Now you try it with me.
Take a deep breath in.
Hum it out.
Do you feel that in your body,
That relaxing vibration?
So let's do the second one which is just an audible sigh.
So you breathe in and you have an audible sigh out.
So it sounds like this.
Breathe in.
Sigh it out.
And just notice how your body feels.
So I want you to take note of how your body feels before you do it.
Now we'll take a deep breath in.
Sigh it out.
Get a sense of what your body feels after the sigh.
Hopefully it's a relaxing little feeling that you're feeling.
And the last one for this holy hush practice is actually a shushing sound.
So I want you to take a deep breath in and then shush it out.
So it sounds like this.
Breathe in.
Okay,
Now you try it.
Take a deep breath in.
Shush it out.
That's it.
Simple and elegant holy hush.
Your three different breath practices.
We hummed,
We sighed,
And we shushed.
So you can do that anytime.
When you're in the car,
When you're waiting for something,
Just when you need to get in that grounded place.
So see you next time.
