Welcome to the Turn Yourself In podcast,

Thank you for being and for being here with me today.
In the previous episode we discussed the second consideration in the know thyself dimension,
Observe,
Witness,
And contemplate.
In this eighth episode we will cover the third consideration in the know thyself dimension,
Choose each moment.
As always,
First prepare your environment.
Turn on your receiving mechanism and prepare the tools you use to learn.
Turn on your favorite healing sounds,
Receive your favorite essential oils,
And prepare to absorb what you wish.
Receive a few nourishing deep breaths and state aloud,
I choose to receive profound and transformational epiphanies,
Insights,
And peacefulness with ease and grace.
I choose to receive profound and transformational epiphanies,

Choose each moment.
Seek to understand your choices and allow yourself to choose each moment.
Know that you are choosing in every moment.
Understand that.
Get clear with yourself about your choices.
Are the choices you are making in alignment with how you wish your life to be?
Are you going into victim or guilt energy?
Do you believe you don't have a choice?
There is no need to or have to,
You are choosing.
Knowing this,
Be conscious of the choices you make in each moment.
Choose from wisdom.
Decide if you will choose love or fear,
And there is no reason to judge yourself if you do choose fear.
You are learning and growing.
Having awareness is a perfect first step in allowing you to choose something different when you are ready.
The following was discussed in the empath section within the foundation podcast,
But it is a fundamental concept and so I will discuss it here again and throughout.
Change the way you speak from I need to to I am choosing to from I have to to I want to and ascertain how the energy shifts in your space.
When you are conscious of your choices you have more permission to align with your decisions.
You will begin to uncover and understand where you veer into victim or guilt energy around the choices you are making.
It is more than okay for you to be you just where you are and to make the choices that nourish your soul,
The choices that nourish your happiness.
I'm gonna go over a few examples of instead of this consider this so instead of I have to go to the store consider I am choosing to go to the store.
Instead of I have to go to work consider I am choosing to go to work.
Instead of I need this person or this thing in my life consider I want or desire this person or thing in my life.
Instead of I can't do this because I have to do this other thing consider I am choosing not to do this because I want to do this instead.
Instead of I can't go here because I'm busy consider I don't wish to go here because it does not resonate with me.
Instead of I can't do that because I'm not skilled enough or rich enough consider I am choosing not to do this because I have no interest and instead of I need to do this because of that consider I want to do this because of that.
You don't have to feed your child but you do so because you either want them to be healthy or you don't want to go to jail for neglect.
You don't have to do the laundry or clean the house but you do so because a part of you wants clean clothes and a clean house or you don't want to be judged and you don't have to go to work but you do so because you want to support a particular lifestyle in the world you live.
Can you accept and understand that you do have choices?
As you change your words and bring more awareness and presence to your choices you will begin to uncover the pattern unfolding and the truth of what is underneath the have to,
Need to or can't.
Here you will understand where you might be stuck in a victim or guilt energy where you might believe that you don't deserve happiness or can never achieve it because of this or because of that.
It is here you can choose to shift from projection to acceptance.
Here you can reside in peace knowing that you are choosing with intent.
Contemplate the following.
Changing your words,
Behaviors,
Thoughts and actions with care requires you to be present.
To be present to experience everything and present with everything you experience it is essential to understand your choices and what those choices are creating for you in each moment.
Here you are choosing to read this,
Receive this,
Listen to this.
You are also choosing to either absorb or not absorb,
To agree with this information or not agree.
Your entire being goes through a complex and intelligent process of determining your next action.
Then a part of you chooses to follow through with that action asking if it is supportive or harmful.
You choose to wake up,
Brush your teeth,
Eat food,
Work,
Hang out with a friend,
Rest,
Play or work more.
You choose in every moment.
Given that,
Allow yourself to choose each moment in the vibration that is supportive and nourishing for you,
Your loved ones and your existence.
Place more care for the self at first so that you can heal.
When you tend to yourself you are more available to be supportive of others.
If you are not choosing an alignment with your truth ask yourself why.
The answers that come may require you to observe,
Witness and contemplate the choices you are making so that you can uncover if it is your truth.
For example,
Choosing to make someone else happy at the expense of your well-being is a choice you are making.
That choice may be in alignment with your truth or it may be a lie.
This choice may be part of your purpose,
Learning and growth,
Something you understand,
Accept and embody.
But on the other hand,
It may not be in alignment with your truth.
It may be that you fear losing someone or being abandoned or alone if you show your true self or if you are true to yourself.
Seek to understand your choices and you will begin to uncover where you may make choices that are not supportive.
Choosing to understand this allows you to shift your choices to ones supporting and nourishing for all.
It all begins with you.
Turn yourself in to understand the workings of your present time self to be more conscious and sincere with your choices.
Here are some practices that you can take into your day today.
Number one,
Modify your use of words.
This is what we discussed a little bit ago.
So first understand that you are choosing each moment and how you respond or react to it.
You are choosing what you do in each moment.
Second,
Let go of the words need to and have to.
Instead,
Replace them with want to and choose to.
Then discover how that changes the vibration of the moment and your energy with it.
Here are some examples and I encourage you to write your own.
Change,
I have to go to the grocery store to go shopping.
Instead say I am choosing to go grocery shopping because I want to receive nourishing and healthy foods.
Change,
I have to work tonight.
Two,
I am choosing to work tonight because I desire funds to support my lifestyle.
Change,
I need this person in my life to I want this person in my life.
Change,
I need to go to bed early to I want to go to bed early so that I get beneficial sleep.
Change,
I need to tend to the garden to I want to tend to the garden because it is nourishing.
And change,
I have to take care of the kids.
Two,
I choose to spend time with the kids because I love our time together.
We have so much fun.
Practice number two,
Observe,
Witness,
And contemplate.
After performing the first exercise,
You will begin to understand how the victim mentality may take hold and where it creates a less than ideal situation for your life and circumstances.
When you change just a couple of words,
You begin to take ownership and regain your authority of the one thing you can control,
Your mind and thus your choices.
In this process,
Give yourself room to breathe and forgive yourself and others.
Then identify those things you believe are a burden,
The have to and the need tos,
And begin changing your relationship with them to one of choice and harmony.
Use the observe,
Witness,
And contemplate exercise to help you understand,
Heal,
And change your program.
This exercise will help create more peace,
Joy,
And allow you to reside in happiness.
Here are some affirmations.
You can speak the following aloud or choose to create your own and repeat daily for as long as desired.
Number one,
I choose how I will initiate,
Engage,
And react to each moment.
I choose how I will initiate,
Engage,
And react to each moment.
Number two,
I trust myself to choose wisely and align with my truth.
I trust myself to choose wisely and align with my truth.
Number three,
I permit myself to choose harmony in all moments.
I permit myself to choose harmony in all moments.
And number four,
I give myself permission to change my mind and choose something different.
I give myself permission to change my mind and choose something different.
