Severe Work Stress Affirmations
These are severe work stress affirmations to use during those times when you may be feeling at your wits end at work. It's important to remember that stress is a natural response to challenging situations. Affirmations are one of many tools in dealing with severe work stress and I offer a few tools I used to help manage my severe stress while in the workplace.

Hello,
My name is John Steen.
I am a certified energy healing practitioner.
Before I became an energy healing practitioner in 2022,
I worked for the U.
S.
Federal Civil Service for 33 years.
I had abruptly resigned from my career in January of 2020.
During that time,
I had filed a discrimination lawsuit against the agency I worked for,
And I was also a whistleblower.
As you can probably imagine,
The stress from a lawsuit was immense.
But the larger stress was a result of the immense retaliation I experienced for speaking up.
For five long years,
It felt like I was sinking further and further down the rabbit hole.
I also felt like I was just existing.
The continued work stress flooded through every fiber of my life.
I felt completely and utterly powerless.
I want you to know that I completely understand what you're going through yourself right now.
Whether it's a smaller circumstance to something more severe than my story,
It's an absolutely awful situation to have to go through,
And your feelings are valid.
I totally get it.
Also,
Despite being involved with healing work my entire adult life,
I knew there had to be a greater reason why I was experiencing what I was experiencing.
But I could never find an answer.
I was just so embroiled in the events surrounding me.
Shortly after I had resigned in January of 2020,
The pandemic hit,
And I started feeling more depressed and depleted,
And I didn't know where my future was headed.
However,
In October of 2020,
I started attending numerous Insight Timer Lives a day,
And I tried lots of different healing modalities.
It was during that time that I had found my answer.
The universe had been nudging me to finally deal with my childhood wounds and trauma,
And my core wound of abandonment from growing up with an alcoholic mom.
I soon realized it wasn't so much the work situations themselves,
But my reactions to it all.
It was the way I had reacted my entire life to all stressful situations.
It was my trauma.
I later learned,
After studying energy healing,
That my reactions and feelings were a result of energy blocks in my system.
Once I removed some of those energy blocks around my childhood trauma,
Those familiar feelings and behavior I had relied on all my life naturally started to fall away,
And my entire world opened up.
It's been quite remarkable.
And those familiar thoughts and feelings are not who we are.
And that's why I've created some severe work stress affirmations,
To help guide you into a more mindful state about your work stress and your current life circumstances.
It is my hope with these affirmations that you're able to find some peace and comfort if you experience any feelings of isolation,
And I want you to know that you are not alone.
I get it.
I also hope you're able to cement some of these affirmations into your mind for those times when the work stress overwhelms you,
And you're able to naturally have some of them come into your mind on their own.
At least that's what's happened for me with affirmations.
It's about training our minds as best we can.
If you're listening to these while at work,
And if you're able,
I suggest you walk away from your desk for a few minutes.
I suggest listening to these either in the restroom or the office stairwell while walking the stairs.
Movement is so very important for stress and mindfulness.
The office stairwell became my daily sanctuary while dealing with those work stress and the retaliation I was experiencing.
So use your current environment as best you can.
Remember to speak these affirmations with conviction and belief in their truthfulness.
Over time,
They can help shift your mindset and reduce feelings of work stress.
I will say these affirmations twice.
Please feel free to say them along with me the second time,
And remember to use your breath to help guide you as well when saying these affirmations.

Using affirmations as journal prompts are a fantastic way to help you manage thoughts and feelings about your severe work stress and current life circumstances.
I often listen to affirmations when I start a hike in nature and I'm feeling more calm.
Affirmations are not a panacea.
We can't positive think out our way of dealing with emotions and feelings or things that are continually showing up in our lives.
However,
They can become one of many tools available to help train our minds and lessen our work stress in the present moment.
Remember,
Everything in life is impermanent.
I promise you,
Your current situation will look different tomorrow,
It will look different next week,
It will look different next month,
It will look and feel different next year.
Please practice as much self-care and self-love as you can during these stressful times.
You can and you will get through this.
I promise you,
If I can do it,
Then so can you.
Namaste.

Absolutely loved these affirmations. I was feeling so stressed before I listened such that I almost did not have the tolerance to listen to your narrative before the affirmations. I’m glad I hung in there. I will be listening to this again and writing down many of them for ease of reference at work. Thank you so much and I am so sorry you had to go through something so awful at work.

This is so helpful to me. Although I am retired and would have thought the stresses of my work life would be over, that couldn’t be any further from the truth. I do quite a bit of volunteering with my church (in addition to being on the board of trustees) and find it is sometimes every bit as stressful as when I was working. Your story inspires me. Thank you, John. Namasté. ❤️🙏🏻
