Hello dear ones and welcome to today's meditation practice.
Today we're going to take some time to explore self-love and we will have some affirmations that you can practice.
So first take a moment and get comfortable in a seated or lying down position.
Close your eyes or soften your gaze,
Whatever you're comfortable with and slowly start to focus on your breath.
Breathing lots of love in and lots of love out.
Self-love is so important.
It involves taking care of your own needs and accepting yourself unconditionally.
In the world we live in there can be a lot of pressure to do more,
Be more,
And to achieve more and this can leave a lot of room for comparison,
Self-judgment,
And criticism.
Being in tune with yourself,
Your emotions,
And your needs is necessary in order to be the best version of yourself.
You cannot care and love for another's needs if you do not first love and care for your own.
There are adverse experiences that can happen along the way that impact how one may feel about themselves.
This can make it really hard to have self-love and unconditional acceptance.
There are some steps to more self-love that you can take.
Reciting positive affirmations,
Working hard not to compare yourself to others,
Starting a journaling practice,
Paying attention to the thoughts that you're having and what you're telling yourself.
Treating yourself like you would treat a dear friend or loved one is so important.
Finding a good routine for yourself that includes taking care of your basic needs like rest and nutrition and getting activity.
All of these things are so important and will help you grow and nourish that love for yourself.
So let's take a moment and go through some of these affirmations.
You may say these aloud or repeat these in your mind,
Whatever you're comfortable with.
Listening to this sort of practice and repeating affirmations consistently will help you grow that self-love for yourself.
So again,
Focus on your breath,
Lots of love in and lots of love out.
And here we go with these affirmations.
Everything I need is within me.
I have the power to change my world and the world around me.
I believe in myself and all of my wonderful abilities.
I love my body so I take care of it with eating healthy and staying active.
I know that I am good enough to achieve anything.
I celebrate myself because I am an amazing person.
My life is full of happiness and love.
I let go of negative beliefs and negative self-talk.
I set healthy boundaries and say no when I need to.
I embrace all of my fears and understand them as ways to improve.
I deserve happiness,
Love,
Peace,
And freedom.
I celebrate my successes and set goals regularly.
What I give to the world is what the world gives to me.
I love myself unconditionally.
I accept my flaws and look for ways to improve daily.
It is easy for me to take constructive criticism and to learn from it.
I let go of mistakes I've made in the past and know that they taught me powerful lessons.
I am beautiful inside and out.
I choose to not take things personally but rather learn from what everyone says.
I accept compliments with ease.
Loving myself is a priority.
I radiate confidence and self-respect.
I deserve to be loved for all that I am.
In order to love myself even more deeply,
I take time to think positively.
I honor my intuition and I follow my inner voice.
I am a lovely person for people to get to know.
I am valued as a dear friend and deeply loved family member.
I am not afraid to honor my emotions and feel my feelings.
I surround myself with people who also respect themselves.
My voice is powerful and my opinion is very influential.
Now you can take a moment to return to the presence in the area that you are in,
Focusing on your breath in and out,
Wiggling your toes and your fingers.
Open your eyes.
Slowly reconnect with the day.
Take these affirmations with you into today and the rest of your week and see if you can focus on more self-love for yourself and more nurturing for yourself.
Namaste.
