And welcome to the Be Beyond Well podcast.

Jennifer Enders,
Licensed professional counselor and certified meditation and mindfulness teacher.
I am so looking forward to sharing love and light with you.
It has been so long since I've shared any podcasts on my channel,
And I look forward to posting more consistently again.
For this episode,
I wanted to discuss self-confidence.
Self-confidence can be so fluid,
It can go up and down based on circumstances and situations and seasons that we may be going through.
I think it's important to foster self-confidence as much as we can.
Some useful ideas for ways to do this include thinking positive things about ourselves,
Remembering times that we have done something well in the past,
Knowing that it's okay to make mistakes,
Trying new things and learning new things,
And above all,
Surrounding ourselves with people who are uplifting and make us feel good about ourselves.
As I go through some of these affirmations for confidence,
Take a moment to recite these in your head or aloud,
And take note of any that resonate with you,
That you can carry with you through days and weeks ahead.
And remember,
You can revisit this any time to practice these further.

If any of those affirmations resonate for you,
You can carry those with you into the days and weeks ahead.
You can write those down.
You can recite them.
You can journal about them.
Whatever feels good.
I like to use affirmations to reframe any stressful or negative thoughts that come in.
So that's also another way to foster self-confidence,
Is to reframe with an affirmation.
And now we are going to practice a meditation together.
Deep self-confidence.
Welcome to this relaxing meditation,
Focusing on building the confidence that you deserve to experience in your daily life,
Bringing you new opportunities to achieve your dreams and help others.
Take a moment and get into a very comfortable position and gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
To get relaxed,
We will start by some deep breathing.
Taking multiple full and deep breaths every day is proven to change our bodies and minds for the better.
So take in five full deep breaths with me.
Holding it for a moment at the top and naturally and slowly exhaling.
Inhale a nice big breath,
Expanding your belly and lungs as much as you can.
Hold it and exhale gently with relief.
Inhaling fresh oxygen that will be supplied to your bloodstream.
Holding it to soak it in and exhaling without any effort.
Inhale,
Feeling rejuvenated and invigorated by this breathing and hold it and exhale easily.
Inhale,
Noticing how breathing fully comes naturally for you,
Pausing to soak it in and exhale any tensions or worries.
And inhaling fully as an act of self-love,
Pausing to feel this love and exhaling into complete relaxation.
And now,
Allow your breath to flow at a pace without any effort from you now.
Good.
Deep breathing increases the supply of oxygen to your brain and stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system,
Sometimes referred to as the rest and digest system.
By breathing deeply and often,
You are commanding your body to rest,
Which relaxes and rejuvenates you.
Now,
Let's relax together even further.
Simply notice now how your thoughts may be rising in your mind one after the other.
See them come and see them go.
Some thoughts linger for some time and some thoughts only come for a split second.
Allow your hearing to become super alert now.
Try to focus on some sounds around you.
Can you hear nature nearby?
Perhaps cars passing by?
Or people talking with each other?
Maybe you can even hear the sound of your breath.
Just go from one sound to the next sound,
Focusing on only one at a time.
Now,
Stop focusing on any sound in particular and just allow all of the noises around you to come in equally and when you hear them,
They almost act as tiny waves of relaxation,
Calming your mind.
Good.
Your mind relaxes when you activate your senses on command.
As you relax even further now,
Letting your body feel as if it's floating and your thoughts as if they are drifting.
Humans have the unique ability to visualize,
Which allows for creation of all kinds to take place.
So let's use the power of your amazing visualization abilities to induce self-confidence.
Making sure your eyes are closed or your gaze is softened,
Begin to imagine yourself full of an abundance of self-confidence.
See yourself now holding your head high,
Having good posture.
Vividly see yourself talking to people with charisma and grace.
What kinds of things are you doing when you're purely confident in yourself?
See yourself taking steps in the direction of your goals.
Imagine now that you have a strong will to avoid situations that do not push you towards your passions and shutting out people who don't nourish the best version of you.
See yourself in great detail,
Confidently saying no to all these things.
You feel very proud now when you avoid doing things you don't need to and instead concentrating on those things that bring you happiness and health.
Very good.
Visualize yourself again now courageous,
Bold,
And self-assured.
If you can,
Imagine yourself taking action towards the things that you love,
The things you are good at.
This makes you proud and deeply peaceful.
Vividly see yourself accomplishing your goals.
Notice how attaining your dreams feels.
Allow these feelings of fearlessness to well up inside you,
Expanding to every aspect of your being.
Allow certainty to rise in your body.
You know for a fact that if you put in the hard work and dedication that you can achieve anything you desire.
The more details you can add to this image of success,
Your self-reliance,
The better.
See the colors brightly.
Feel the sensations of your surroundings.
Notice how you look when you are brave,
Sure of each step that you take,
The kinds of expressions that are on your face.
Remain here in this place of complete confidence for a few minutes longer.
Good.
Another form of building confidence is positive self-talk.
So,
Hear yourself saying,
I am an inspiration to others.
I am fearless.
There is nothing that I cannot overcome.
I am worthy of my dreams.
I have many skills and gifts that I share with the world.
My words are mighty and I carry with me the responsibility of kindness.
I am unstoppable.
I am a great leader.
People are drawn to the love that I send out.
I am an inspiration to others.
I am fearless.
There is nothing that I cannot overcome.
I am worthy of achieving my dreams.

Take a moment to focus back to your breathing.
Focusing on your in-breath and your out-breath.
Taking a moment of stillness.
It's time to return to the responsibilities of the day.
Gently open your eyes.
Wiggle your toes.
Wiggle your fingers.
Take a big deep breath.
Go ahead and let that out.
Know that whenever you respect yourself,
You're respecting the entire world.
Return your awareness to the present moment.
Thriving on this greater sense of confidence.
