Find a comfortable position.

You could be lying down or sitting.

If you're sitting,

Ensure your feet are flat on the floor and rest your hands gently in your lap,

With your palms either facing up or down.

With a straight back,

I invite you to gently close your eyes and start by taking a nice deep breath in through the nose,

Inhaling the lungs and filling the lungs as much as possible,

Holding the breath for a couple of seconds and then releasing fully through the mouth.

And we're going to repeat this a few times.

So breathing in through the nose,

Nice deep breath,

The biggest breath you've taken all day.

Hold it for a couple of seconds and then release fully,

Blowing out all that air in your lungs,

Exhaling just a little bit more than you think you can.

And then starting again,

Breathing in through the nose,

Hold,

And then release fully through the mouth.

And as you exhale,

Consider releasing everything you've been holding on to,

All that stress,

All that tension,

Any worries,

Just let it all go.

And imagine you're breathing in new possibilities,

New ways of being.

Breathing in infinite possibilities into your lungs,

Into your body and into your mind.

Pausing and then releasing fully through the mouth.

Take some time to take some deep breaths now in your own time.

And as you let your breathing return to its normal rhythm,

I'd like to bring your attention to the sensation of gravity.

And I'd like you to become aware of where you notice gravity as it comes to meet you wherever you are.

Gravity is always there for us,

Keeping us safe,

Keeping us close to the earth and grounded.

You may start to sense a feeling of calm already washing over you.

You might start to feel tingling in your hands or warmth.

And you may notice that you're starting to become more relaxed and that you're starting to feel a little bit heavier.

Maybe your arms are feeling heavier.

Maybe your legs and feet are feeling heavier.

And I invite you to become aware of the sensation of your breathing as you breathe in.

Noticing the rising of your chest and stomach.

And as you breathe out,

Noticing and sensing the falling sensation.

And I'd like you to become aware of the temperature of the air passing through your nostrils when you inhale.

And comparing it to the temperature of the air when you exhale through your nostrils.

Is there a difference?

And bringing your attention to the top of your head now.

You may become distracted by thought at any point during this meditation and that's completely okay.

Just bring your attention back to the sound of my voice or to the sensation of your breath whenever you notice that you've become distracted.

And let's start with placing our attention in your forehead.

And noticing the muscles in your forehead,

Sensing any tension in that area.

And just allowing that area,

Those muscles to completely relax.

Moving down,

Allowing your cheeks and your eyes and the muscles around your eyes to relax.

Sensing your eyelids becoming heavier.

And allowing your jaw to completely relax,

Allowing any tension in your jaw to melt away.

As you sense your whole face completely relaxing.

And as you sense that relaxation,

Spreading down the front of your neck.

Down,

Down,

Deeper towards your chest.

Noticing and allowing your chest muscles to relax.

And allowing your stomach muscles to soften.

Allowing your pelvic area to soften.

And to feel more relaxed with every breath that you take.

Allowing the tops of your legs to become heavier.

Allowing your knees to relax.

And allowing your shins and your calves to completely relax.

Allowing that relaxation to spread down,

Down to your feet.

Allowing your feet to relax.

Allowing your hands to relax.

Sensing the forearms.

Relaxing the forearms and the upper arms.

Relaxing any tension in the shoulders and just allowing the shoulders to drop a little bit more.

Sending the relaxation down,

Down the back.

Down the upper back to the middle back.

And down deeper to the lower back.

Allowing for a total full body relaxation.

And I invite you to find yourself at the top of a staircase.

A beautiful staircase.

Completely safe.

And covered in wonderful magical carvings all down the sides of the banisters.

And the staircase is enticing you to follow it down,

Down the staircase.

And with every step you're about to take you'll become more deeply and totally relaxed.

Starting at the top of the staircase as you start to descend down,

Down onto step nine.

Down more relaxed as you step onto step eight.

Down more relaxed as you step onto step seven.

And six.

Step five more relaxed.

Step four.

Step three.

Down,

Down more deeply relaxed.

Step two.

Step one.

And you reach the bottom of the staircase completely and totally relaxed.

And as you drift you see a door in front of you.

And you go towards the door and you open the door.

And beyond the door is a wonderful meadow.

With tall beautiful coloured flowers and tall grass.

And above you are blue skies.

And you can hear the sounds of birds in the distance.

And you feel so safe and comforted here.

And as you walk through the meadow touching the grass with your fingers.

You see in the distance.

A multi coloured hot air balloon.

And you go over to the hot air balloon.

And it's as if it's waiting there for you and only you.

And you notice that each four of the corners of the hot air balloon.

Are holding down the ropes with heavy bags.

Bags of bricks and sand.

And you climb into the hot air balloon.

And you realise that to get going you must release these bags.

And so you take a magical golden knife.

And you realise that each of these four bags contains worries.

Fear about the future.

Stress.

And painful memories.

Possibly things people have said to you.

And you decide to cut them away one by one with your magical knife.

And as you cut them away you realise that the hot air balloon starts to.

Ascend up up.

Into the sky.

And becomes lighter and lighter.

And starts to float up up and away.

Up above the clouds.

Where there's nothing but blue skies.

And you feel an overwhelming sense of peace.

Just enjoy this feeling for a few moments.

And as you float.

Through the blue sky.

You can see everything beneath you.

From a different perspective.

And it looks beautiful.

You can see trees and animals.

People,

Houses.

And you see you have a map with you.

And you pull out your map.

And you see where you've marked on your map.

And you decide to go there.

And you know this place is going to be amazing for you.

And so you fly there.

And as you begin to land.

There's another overwhelming sense of comfort and peace.

And you land in the meadow.

And as you climb out of your hot air balloon.

You see a person walking towards you.

And they look vaguely familiar.

And as you recognize them,

A massive smile comes to your face.

As you recognize that it's you in the future.

And as you gaze upon them,

You see everything that you'd like your life to look like in the future.

And as they look back at you,

You know everything will be fine.

And they tell you,

You have infinite possibilities.

Everything good is coming your way.

You're surrounded by people who love and support you.

And you can create the life that you truly desire.

I believe in you.

And then they take you in their arms and embrace you.

And it feels incredible.

And you slowly start to smile and laugh as you realize that they have become you.

You have embraced them and become one.

And you're so happy you could skip.

And you start skipping.

Along through the meadow.

And laughing and feeling so good.

And you keep skipping and skipping.

And you come back to the door.

And you go through the door.

Taking this feeling with you.

And you come to your staircase.

And you look up at your staircase.

And you know that as you start to climb your staircase,

You'll feel more and more awake with each step up.

And you place your foot at the bottom of the staircase.

On step one.

And you start to become more awake on step two.

And you start to become more awake on step three.

More awake.

Step four.

Step five.

You start to wiggle your fingers.

Step six.

You start to wiggle your toes.

Step seven.

You start to think about opening your eyes.

Step eight.

Your eyes are slowly opening.

Step nine.

Your eyes are open.

And step ten.

You are back.

And ready to have an amazing day.
