Prana is life force energy, in this meditation you are guided to become aware of the different pranas, on different levels of existence that is being breathed into the different bodies (koshas). Your physical body breathes air, the mental body breathes vitality, the subtle body breathes prana and the psychic body breathes the essence of prana. This meditation can guide you into dissolution of the physical body and allow you to breathe more vitaly and energy into the whole of who you are. Connecting you to the essence of yourself beyond the physical manifestation. Trust you will enjoy.

Pancha,

Prana,

Dharana.

A meditation on the breath and the experience of breathing in the different bodies.

Pancha is five,

Prana is life force energy and Dharana is focusing,

Thus meditation.

Come to sit in a comfortable position.

Let your body relax and fall into a comfortable position where the energy flows within.

The eyes are closed.

Become aware of the whole body.

Develop your awareness of the whole body from the tip of the toes to the top of the head.

Observing the whole body in one glimpse,

In one thought.

Gradually become aware of the etheric body within the physical body.

The more subtle energetic part of yourself experienced in the form of space.

Visualize the body as an empty shell and dissociate your mind from the physical body.

Dissociate from awareness of muscles,

Bones,

Internal organs and just be aware of space.

Observe the space that pervades the entire body.

Pervading the entire internal space of the body and exists around the body.

Imagine the whole body like a balloon filled with air,

Air within the balloon and air around the balloon.

In the same way the etheric body is filled with space,

Space exists all around the etheric body.

Intensify the awareness of space.

I am nothing but space,

Space within,

Space without.

Gradually dissociate your awareness,

Your perception,

Whether it's comfort or discomfort,

Pleasure or pain.

I'm not neither this nor that.

My consciousness is centered in the etheric body.

Become fully aware of the etheric body.

Awareness of space and nothing else.

Become aware of the feeling of silence and stillness in the etheric body.

Observe the breath within the etheric body in the form of a pillar of air.

This pillar of air extends from the Manipur to Agnya chakra.

The consciousness moves along the pillar of air.

At the time of inhalation the consciousness ascends with the breath along this pillar of air from the navel to the third eye from Manipur to Agnya.

With exhalation the consciousness descends from Agnya to Manipur.

With each ascent and descent of consciousness along the pillar of air from Manipur to Agnya become aware of the stillness and silence which pervades the etheric body.

Intensify your awareness of the silence and stillness of the etheric body.

Now we move to awareness of the breathing process which is happening on different dimensions simultaneously.

The physical body breathing air.

The mental body breathing in vitality.

The subtle body breathing in prana.

And the psychic body breathing in pure essence,

Pure energy.

For a few moments be aware of the physical breathing process.

Once the awareness is established in the physical body go deep and become aware of the three subtle aspects of breathing.

Going beyond the physical body consciousness and feel the three other bodies breathing and pulsating with the energy of life.

The mental body breathing in vitality.

This is the first subtle body of which you are becoming aware.

The first subtle aspect the mental body breathing in vitality.

This vital active principle which is the cause of all the functioning and performance of the mental structure.

This vitality that you are breathing in through the mental body is an attribute and aspect of the air that the physical body is breathing.

Go deep into the perception,

Into the awareness,

Into the feeling of the mental body breathing in vitality.

Now go to the second aspect the subtle body.

The subtle body interacts with a subtle mind in the psychic realm.

The subtle body receives its life and stimulation through prana.

Interacting with the mental body and its deeper aspect and also the superficial aspect of the psychic body.

Go deeper and intensify the perception of the subtle body breathing in the prana in the form of energy particles,

The manifest prana.

In the form of visualized energy atoms.

Now we go into the third aspect the psychic body,

The realm of pure energy.

The psychic body breathes in the subtle form of prana.

Where prana is not just a vision but a force full of warmth,

Heat and color.

Just as hot air rising from a fire can be seen in the form of prana.

Shimmering turbulent force.

In the same way the subtle prana,

The pure form of energy is to be seen and experienced full of warmth,

Light,

Heat and color.

With intensity of awareness and concentration continue observing.

Witness the play of energy within the structure of the psychic body.

Intensify the awareness and become more aware of this energy activity within the different bodies related to the process of breathing.

Now become aware of the heart region.

Become aware of the heart region within the etheric body.

Become aware of the physical heart and observe the heartbeat.

At the corresponding location in the etheric body visualize a pulsating point of light.

This point of light flares up and diminishes with every heartbeat.

Expansion and contraction in the point of light in the etheric body.

Become aware of this pulsation,

This light growing and fading in the heart region.

The pulsation of light in the rhythm of the heartbeat.

Explosion and implosion of light in the etheric body.

The whole of the etheric body fills up with light and becomes dark again with each pulsation.

Now bring your awareness and your concentration to the circulation of blood in the physical body.

Imagine how the blood is flowing through each and every part of the body.

Become aware of the movement of blood in the body flowing through the different veins,

Arteries and blood vessels.

This physical activity is experienced in the etheric body as the flow of prana.

Become aware of the flow of energy which pervades the entire structure.

Within the experience of space be aware of the subtle movement of prana.

Observe the flow of prana in each and every part of the etheric body.

This flow of prana fills the etheric body with the experience of warmth,

Light and vitality.

Intensify the awareness of prana filling the space of the etheric body with warmth,

Luminosity and vitality.

Concentrate totally on the pranic movement,

Complete awareness of pranic experience.

Be aware of the total etheric body and the movement of prana within the space.

Just as the blood circulates in each and every part of the body providing energy,

Warmth and comfort to the entire physical structure.

In the same way the prana flows into each and every part of the etheric body filling up the entire space with warmth,

Light,

Comfort,

Vitality and energy.

In one glimpse,

In one thought,

Experience this movement of prana along the entire etheric body.

Maintaining awareness of space intensify your awareness of prana and deepen your awareness of prana and luminosity in the etheric body.

Deepening the feeling of inner silence and stillness.

Within this awareness begin to observe the natural spontaneous flow of the breath.

Feel the whole body is breathing in.

The whole skin breathing.

As you exhale experience the breath going out through each and every pore of the skin.

With each inspiration there's an experience of expansion.

Feel the entire pranic body expanding.

With each expiration there's a feeling of relaxation.

Feel the pranic body contracting.

With the inhalation expanding.

The expansion of the etheric body filling with light.

See the etheric space expanding and filling with particles of light.

And as the breath leaves the body the whole open sky relaxes and contracts.

The whole space.

Observe this phenomena.

Intensify this awareness.

Now become aware of your breath moving through your entire body.

The movement of prana through the entire body.

Become aware of the entire space of the body as a whole.

Intensify your awareness of sthulakas.

The macro sky.

The open space throughout the body.

With each inspiration there is an experience of expansion.

Feel the entire pranic body expanding.

With each expiration there is a feeling of relaxation.

Feel the pranic body contracting.

The breath enters the body through every single pore of the skin.

While inhaling the prana expands within the etheric body filling it with light.

See the etheric space expanding and filling with particles of light.

And as the breath leaves the body the sthulakas relaxes and contracts.

The entire macro sky expands and contracts.

Expands and contracts.

Observe this phenomena.

Deepen,

Intensify this awareness.

We are now going to end the practice.

Allow the vision and the feeling of the pranic body fade into the sthulakas,

Into the open sky.

Experience the space pervading the entire body.

Become aware of the physical body.

Feel your body sitting in meditation posture.

Become aware of the room,

The four walls,

The ceiling and the floor.

Slowly externalize the mind.

Take a deep breath in and chant OM three times.

The practice is complete.
