Hi,
This is Noelle.
In this practice today,
We will be guiding the meditation journey of self-discovery.
The journey of self-discovery is a deeply personal and transformative process in which we seek to understand ourselves on a deeper level,
Understanding our true values,
Beliefs,
Desires,
And even gaining a clear sense of purpose and direction in our lives.
It involves exploring our thoughts,
Emotions,
Strengths,
Maybe weaknesses,
And examining past experiences and patterns of behavior.
So let's begin.
Find a comfortable position.
You can either sit down or lay down,
Whatever's more comforting and soothing for you.
You can gently close your eyes if that's more easeful,
Or leave them a little bit open,
Just gazing a little bit down,
45 degrees,
Or even a little bit up.
As we are settling into our position,
Take a moment to settle into your body.
Feel the support beneath you.
How does it feel?
What does that contact feel like between your body and whatever support is underneath you at this moment?
Begin by bringing awareness to your breath.
Bring your attention to your breath exactly as it is.
Notice the sensations of the breath as it flows in and out of your body.
You don't need to change your breath or to hold it in any way.
Just follow the natural rhythm of your breath as it is right now.
Allow your breath to start to become slow and steady,
Grounding you in the present moment,
In and out,
In and out.
Now with the next breath that you're going to pull in,
Imagine all of the stress,
The pain,
Anything that you're experiencing right now.
Maybe there's a problem in your life,
A situation that is a bit uncomfortable.
For this next breath,
Inhale all of that pain.
Inhale anything that you want to be rid of with that breath.
No need to hold on to your breath.
You can inhale it and exhale.
Maybe there's something that's giving you anxiety,
Perhaps a little bit of stress,
Unease.
Whatever that is,
Bring it to mind.
As you inhale,
Pull all of that in.
Imagine that you're inhaling all of the unwanted feelings,
All of the unwanted emotions.
Anything on this path of self-discovery is okay.
As you're inhaling all of these emotions and thoughts and feelings,
Notice if there's anything that may surface.
Anything that is a particular edge to your experience right now.
That could be anything.
It could be sadness,
Fear,
Anger,
Maybe resentment even.
Just allow yourself to explore any of these emotions,
Emotions that you may want to get rid of,
Something that is uncomfortable.
Just let's gently explore those emotions with a gentle curiosity in this moment right now.
We're still breathing normally.
Inhaling all of the emotions and thoughts and feelings that you want to get rid of and exhaling normally.
In and out.
If your mind wanders,
That's okay.
Just bring it back to the exercise and the practice of exploring your emotions,
The feeling with genital curiosity and an open spaciousness to allow anything that you are feeling right now,
Anything to be with you in this present moment.
Take some time to connect with your inner state at this moment.
Listen closely and ask yourself a question that may be arising right now from within.
See if anything comes up to answer that question.
For example,
Am I happy?
Am I sad?
Is there something in my life right now that I want to change?
Just get a sense of connecting to your inner wisdom and intuition right now at this moment.
And you can ask one of those questions or anything else that is naturally arising from within.
Now with the next exhale,
Let's release all of the worry.
Release all of the stress.
Whatever it was that you were inhaling,
Let's exhale it all back into the space around you.
Releasing all the bad darkness,
The unpleasantries,
Uncomfortability,
The worry and the stress.
Just release that.
Give it back.
Send it back out of you right now with that exhale.
In and out.
Breathing in and out.
See if you have a sense of connection with yourself and your inner truth right now.
Embracing all of who you are.
All of the good.
Anything that you may want to change.
Any aspects of your life and your experience right now.
Embracing that and being okay with it.
As you reach the end of the meditation,
As we begin to transition out,
Allow yourself to reflect on what you've discovered about yourself during this practice.
What wisdoms and insights were gained from this journey of self-exploration?
When you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes if they've been closed.
Take a few breaths,
A few deep breaths in and out,
Long,
Deep breaths.
Start to wiggle around,
Reconnect to the world around you.
Thank you for joining me on this practice and journey of self-discovery.
May you continue to explore the depths of your being with courage,
Curiosity and compassion.
Until next time,
Be well and be safe.
