Welcome to your space.
Allow yourself to arrive here fully.
Let the stresses of the day fall away from you.
No matter what your plans are after this,
Right now,
It's time to just settle and be still and not be needed.
So breathe naturally and steadily and let your shoulders drop.
Let your hands relax and the small muscles of your face.
Let your belly soften and let the air go all the way in through nose and chest and lungs all the way down into your abdomen.
Refreshing everything that's been tense and holding on.
And if today felt heavy,
This practice is for you.
And you don't need to explain why.
In this safe space,
You don't need to justify what was hard.
You don't need to find words to explain everything.
Just be here in your body.
And if it helps,
You could put one hand over your heart,
One hand on your tummy and just acknowledge yourself here in your body.
Stay safe,
Just where you need to be right now.
And as you continue to breathe naturally,
I invite you with each exhale to imagine offering kindness to the version of yourself who lived today.
Give kindness to the one who tried,
The one who coped,
The one who did what needed to be done,
The one who did their best.
You might silently say,
I did what I could with what I had.
And let that be enough.
And if anything moves in you,
Any emotions,
Any tears,
Any residual feelings,
Just let them come up and through.
Let them move out.
It's safe here.
Forgive yourself for anything that you feel you should have done better.
And then release all the shoulds and all the coulds and all the what-ifs and the maybes.
And let yourself feel as compassionate to yourself as you would to someone dearly beloved.
The day no longer needs anything from you.
You are allowed to step out of effort and into rest.
So go gently.
Thank you for sharing your space with me today.
