Let yourself find a place of comfort,
Of rest.
Be sitting comfortably in a chair,
Or lying on your back,
Your knees relaxed,
Your legs relaxed,
Your extremities comfortable.
Allow yourself to breathe easily.
Gentle inhales,
Gentle exhales.
Allow your breath to be effortless.
Allow yourself to take in the environment around you,
Using all of your other senses beyond sight.
Feel the air as it moves across your body.
Be aware of the sounds that are happening around you.
And as you become aware of those sounds,
Allow your mind to stay with your body.
Encourage yourself to stay where you are and do not chase the sounds.
And continue to breathe easily,
Gently.
With each breath,
Each inhale and exhale,
Become aware of how your body is oxygenating itself,
How the oxygen is going into the blood,
And how the blood is moving throughout your body,
Carrying the fresh oxygen.
Allow your awareness to shift into your exhales,
As your body releases CO2.
Your awareness is on the fresh air going in and the CO2 coming out.
And let your mind wander.
Let thoughts pop up and disappear.
And as these thoughts pop up and disappear,
Allow yourself to continue back into your awareness of your breath.
Your gentle inhales and exhales,
Breathing gently on your own tempo.
Let your awareness shift to the other features of your body that will change and move according to sensations,
Whether it's the moisture in your mouth that encourages you to swallow,
Or the change in the pressure of the room that may encourage you to yawn.
Be aware of your entire body and how each part plays its role.
Where are the sensations?
Allow yourself to be present with all of it.
Allow yourself to be aware of where there's discomfort.
And let your breath flow into that area,
Offering it some comfort,
Offering it some relief,
And possibly release.
Recognizing the sensations in your body,
Throughout your body,
And with your eyes still closed.
Let your awareness shift to any colors or sensations that the eyes are registering.
Release judgment on whatever these things are,
And allow them to just be.
And if there's anything that comes up visually or mentally for you,
You can allow yourself to breathe in to that,
And exhale.
And send that thought or that image on the wind.
And for a moment longer,
Just continue to be.
In this time,
You may recognize your heartbeat.
You may recognize your breathing.
You may recognize things that are starting to creep into your mind,
Encouraging you to be elsewhere.
Ask them to pause for just a moment,
Just a moment longer.
Before we finish,
With each inhale,
Inhale the feeling and the sensation of love.
So that may spread throughout your body,
From your core to your extremities.
Breathe in love.
And with each exhale,
Exhale all that needs to be pushed aside for that love to find a home.
And allow yourself to exhale love as well.
It's not depleting it,
It's expanding it.
So breathe in love,
Breathe out love.
So that your body is filled with love,
And all around you is filled with the energy and the vibration of love.
Slowly allow yourself to come back into your space,
To become present.
You may allow your body to move gently as your awareness shifts back into time that you are in now,
Into space that you are in now.
As we bring this session to a close,
Recognize that feeling of love flowing in and love flowing out.
So that as you move through your day,
As you move through your path of life,
You will recognize that feeling as you encounter it wherever you are.
And you will be able to generate that feeling wherever you are.
As we come fully back into our spaces,
Our places,
And our time and body.
