Hey,

It's Kristen.

Today I'm going to share a practice to help you really get in touch with your body and the presence of each moment of your day.

If you enjoy this practice,

I think you're going to love my course.

It's called Everyday Sensuality.

Let's do this together.

Before you begin your sensory walk,

Take a moment to center yourself.

You can gently close your eyes and just take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to arrive fully in the present moment.

Let's do this together.

Inhale.

Bring yourself into your body and just gently let that air drop out.

We'll do this a few more times.

Inhale.

Bring yourself back into your body and gently let the air release.

Inhale.

And now you're arriving fully into this present moment.

On this next inhale,

Let go of any distractions or worries just for a moment.

And now you're prepared to engage your senses with curiosity and openness.

Now go ahead and begin your sensory walk.

You can start by feeling your weight on the ground,

Noticing your footfall,

The cadence with which you walk,

And take steps.

That's great.

Now begin to notice where the air is touching your skin.

You can notice where your sleeve ends and your skin begins.

And now bringing your awareness and attention to the patterns of light and shadow around you.

Now go ahead and allow yourself to notice a detail you hadn't maybe noticed before.

And now bringing your awareness to your nose and the sense that permeate the air.

Sometimes through our nose,

We can even feel if the air is warm or cold.

And as you allow yourself to recognize the smells around you,

Remember,

They don't have to all be good smells.

It's enough to just take note of what tones are in the air.

Now I've gotten you set up and started,

But for this to be a true sensory experience,

I'm going to invite you to pause this audio.

Take off your headphones.

Start listening to the sounds around you.

Maybe put your phone on airplane mode and get into it.

Full senses on.

You can remember what your senses are just by paying attention to the map of your body.

What are your eyes seeing?

What is your nose smelling?

What is your mouth tasting?

What is your skin feeling?

So go ahead and pause your audio.

Full senses on.

I'll talk to you when you're back.

Welcome back.

How was it?

Did you notice anything new?

As you engage your senses,

Sometimes you'll discover that your extrasensory perception comes online.

That's my dream for you,

That you can get so connected within yourself and your surroundings that you begin to more easily hear yourself and heed the subtle whispers of your soul.

Thank you for joining me for this sensory walk experience.
