Hey,

It's Kristen.

Today we're going to explore the connection between your heart and your belly.

If you like this practice,

Then you'll love my course.

It's called Everyday Sensuality.

In this practice,

We're going to take a few minutes to feel your internal rhythms.

You'll be surprised at how much you can drop into deep connection with yourself.

As we breathe deeply and feel the rhythm of our heartbeat and the gentle movements of our belly,

We tap into the innate wisdom of our body.

These rhythms serve as a constant reminder of our vitality and interconnectedness with all of existence.

So let's get started.

Go ahead and feel your belly gently rise and fall.

Recognize this as one of your body's rhythms.

Your heart is going to offer its own rhythm.

This is your own special dance going on all the time behind the scenes.

So as we go through this practice,

Get to know your own rhythm because it's unique to you.

So finding a comfortable position,

Go ahead and close your eyes.

We want to use our inner vision and our subtle sensations.

Start by placing one hand over your heart and the other hand over your belly and begin to take a few deep breaths.

At your own pace,

You're just allowing your awareness to settle into your body.

Now through your hand,

Begin to feel the rhythm of the subtle rise and fall of your belly.

Breathing in,

The belly raising,

Exhaling,

And allowing it to collapse just a little bit.

And just follow your own rhythm.

Get to know what pace does your breath want to rise and fall with.

And together,

Your hand and your belly and your breath are working together to create this rhythm.

And now bring your awareness to the hand on your chest and change the space where you're bringing the breath into your body.

You're going to bring it into your chest now.

Inhale deeply so that your chest rises,

Opens just a little bit,

And feel what that feels like underneath your hand.

Inhale into your chest.

Inhale into your chest.

Feel the movement.

Exhale and feel that movement.

And go ahead and just drop into the rhythm that feels most natural in this now moment.

You can feel how your breath and your chest and your hand are playing together to help you come into the awareness of the rise and the fall of this part of your body.

Now,

If you can,

Allow yourself to come into the awareness both of the chest and the belly.

Both of your heartbeat and of the way your belly is rising and falling.

How much can you expand your awareness deep into your body?

See if you can become just a little more still.

And in that stillness,

You'll begin to feel your heart beating at its own rhythm.

Allow yourself to notice any sensations or any emotions that arise as you're connecting with these centers of your being.

If you want,

You can imagine a connection coming from your belly to your heart.

Circulating the energies between them.

And go ahead and take a big,

Deep breath and bring a smile to your face.

And when you're ready,

Just drop into the rhythm that feels most natural in this now moment.

Gently blink your eyes open.

Focus on something in the room.

Notice its detail.

The light parts,

The dark parts.

Bring yourself back into the full awareness of your body by noticing your feet.

And now bringing your awareness to the center of your head.

I hope you can feel how taking just five minutes to connect with your heart and belly can help you drop into a profound state of presence and awareness.
