Welcome to this guided meditation.
I'm your guide,
Dr.
Andrew Goff of Love is a Classroom.
This guided meditation will connect you to the present and prepare you to be aware of the love around you as you move through your day.
I want you to release any stress or tension and focus your energy on the present moment.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Either in a chair or on the floor,
With your back straight and your hands resting gently on your lap.
This meditation will help ease any stress and tension built up in the classroom.
Close your eyes if you feel comfortable.
Let's begin by bringing your attention to your breath.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely,
And then slowly exhale through your mouth,
Releasing any tension you may be holding onto.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest and abdomen with each inhale and exhale.
Feel the air entering your nose,
Cool,
Refreshing,
And then leaving your body,
Warm.
Allow yourself to breathe naturally without any force or control.
Just be here in this moment with your breath.
As you continue to breathe,
Imagine that with each exhale,
You're letting go of any stress or worry from your day.
Picture any tension melting away,
Leaving your body with each breath out.
Release any thoughts about what happened earlier today or what might happen tomorrow.
Allow yourself to be fully present.
Now imagine yourself in your classroom.
Visualize the colors,
The familiar sounds,
And the positive energy generated by the love inside each child around you.
See yourself moving through your day with calm and ease.
As challenges arise,
You meet them with a sense of calm and confidence.
You are centered,
Present,
And fully engaged with each child,
Each learner,
And every interaction is an opportunity to connect,
To guide,
To support,
And to love.
Visualize how it feels to be completely in the moment with your learners.
Feel the joy of their laughter,
The curiosity of their questions,
And the satisfaction of guiding them through new discoveries.
Allow yourself to appreciate the impact you have on their young lives and the unique role you play in their growth and development.
As you continue to visualize yourself in your classroom,
Imagine a warm golden light of love surrounding you.
This light represents your inner peace and strength.
With each inhale,
Feel the light growing brighter and warmer,
Filling you with a sense of calm and reassurance.
With each exhale,
Feel any remaining tension or stress leaving your body being replaced by this soothing golden light.
Take a few more deep breaths,
Cleansing breaths inhaling the calm and peace,
And exhaling any last bits of tension or worry.
Allow yourself to feel grateful for the important work you do in the lives of young learners and their families.
Gently bring your awareness back to the present.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Stretch your ankles and legs,
Reach your arms out and feel the sensation of your back and chest muscles.
Slowly open your eyes,
And remember you can return to this place of calm and focus any time you need to.
May you carry this sense of peace and presence with you throughout your day.
Thank you for listening to this guided meditation.
