Welcome,
Dear one.
Our focus today is the truth you are provided for.
Knowing that we are provided for reassures us that we have everything we need.
It works against the scarcity mindset so prevalent in our culture,
Replacing it with abundance and confidence in what's to come.
Sit back,
Listen,
And engage with the Spirit as you feel God's provision for you.
Let's begin.
Have you ever felt like you might not have what you need to get through whatever stage you're in?
Whether physical resources or emotional ones?
Or perhaps even spiritually,
You felt like you were lacking something.
Feelings of scarcity and disconnection are unfortunately common,
Particularly in motherhood.
We fear that we don't have enough,
Don't have what we need to survive and thrive.
We also feel disconnected from community,
From one another,
And from those who can help us when we are in need.
If you have any of these feelings,
Know that you are not alone.
God wants to affirm and reassure you right now.
Jesus says,
Ask and it will be given to you,
Seek and you will find,
Knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives,
He who seeks finds,
And to him who knocks,
The door will be opened.
Sometimes we need our community to provide the things we are lacking on our own.
Take a moment now to breathe deep,
Centering breaths.
Breathing in and breathing out as you repeat this affirmation.
We will be saying,
In community,
On the in-breath,
And I have everything I need,
On the out-breath.
In community,
I have everything I need.
In community,
I have everything I need.
In community,
I have everything I need.
Let's open ourselves up through prayer.
God,
You say to us in the book of Matthew,
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
For I am gentle and humble in heart,
And you will find rest for your souls,
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
God,
Remind us that we don't have to keep searching and striving for more.
We can simply sit here now,
Believe and receive.
In you,
We have everything we need.
You provide for us.
You look after the birds in the sky,
And we are much more precious to you.
You see all our needs.
You care for us.
In Philippians 4.
19,
We are reminded an important truth,
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
You bless us with people to surround us and care for us.
Help us to ask for help and accept it,
And not try to do it alone.
You gave us one another for a reason.
We are a tribe,
Stronger together than alone.
Bring to mind,
Right now,
The people in our lives that are available to support us.
Let us see their faces in our minds,
Right now.
Thank you for the people you have handpicked for us,
In our lives,
To give us support and lift us up.
They are your hands and feet to us.
God,
You are with us even in those dark days and nights of uncertainty.
Even when we feel alone.
Even when we feel like we are lacking what we need.
Help us to feel your provision and nearness,
Right now.
Let truth take root in you in a tangible way.
I invite you to stretch your arms out wide,
Feeling the space around you,
Physically bringing attention and awareness to the abundance of space,
The community around you,
As you lock in these truths.
I am provided for.
I have everything I need.
I am not alone.
As you listen to this next passage,
Let the truth of provision and community root itself even deeper.
Ephesians 4,
15-16 Rather,
Speaking the truth in love,
We are to grow up in every way,
Into him who is the head,
Into Christ,
From whom the whole body,
Joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped,
When each part is working properly,
Makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
What a wonderful grace,
To be provided for and built up in community.
Feel yourself connected to community,
To resources,
To everything you need right now.
Imagine a basket woven together with many strands,
Held together,
Holding each other,
With room and space to be filled.
Mama,
You have everything you need.
Allow your hands to lay on your lap,
Palms up,
As you receive whatever it is you need from God now.
Whatever you need for this day.
Picture in your mind the woven basket being filled to the brim with all the good things you need for this journey ahead.
Watch each item,
Noting what it symbolizes to you,
And sensing that feeling of fullness grow more and more as you receive.
Stay here as long as you need,
And whenever you feel like you have received what's needed,
You may end this practice.
