Hello and welcome to another guided catholic healing meditation.
Today is the last day of our series and we will be using healing stories from the scriptures quoted from the Dewey Rhines Chaloner version as a part of the healing from the scriptures series.
As a disclaimer,
I do not intend to interpret the holy scriptures and only use these wonderful stories for guided meditation.
God is our healer then,
Now and always and truly nothing is impossible when we ask in Jesus name.
Prepare by putting yourself in a comfortable position,
Sit,
Walk,
Stand or even lay down.
If you happen to fall asleep during this meditation,
Do not worry,
Be glad that your body is able to relax.
Sleep is a part of our total healing and you can always come back at a later time.
Today's story is about restoring sight to two blind men in the gospel of Saint Matthew.
When Jesus passed from thence,
There followed him two blind men,
Crying out and saying,
Have mercy on us,
O son of David.
And when he was come to the house,
The blind men came to him.
And Jesus saith to them,
Do you believe that I can do this unto you?
They say to him,
Yes,
Lord.
Then he touched their eyes,
Saying,
According to your faith,
Be it done unto you.
And their eyes were opened,
And Jesus strictly charged them,
Saying,
See that no man know this.
But they going out spread his fame abroad in all that country.
For consideration,
Take yourself back to the time of Jesus.
What was the weather like that day?
Who were the people around our Lord?
When Jesus touched their eyes and healed the two blind men,
Imagine how their eyes opened wide and how they went about spreading the good news of their healing.
Think about the gratitude of these men.
Think about the faith they must have had and now it was rewarded at the end.
You may take a few more seconds or minutes to examine other angles of the story that you would like to meditate on or consider.
And after that,
You may begin your conversation with Christ.
Today you may tell Christ ten things that you are grateful for.
Include the gift of healing in those ten items because whether it is visible or not,
Jesus has already healed you.
The other nine things could be as simple as the food you ate today,
The people you spent time with,
The clothes you're wearing,
Your shelter.
Thank the Lord for every little convenience and blessings you have.
Jesus loves a grateful heart.
You may pause this recording and come back or you may say thanks to the Lord with this music in the background.
I adore thee,
O Christ,
And I love thee.
My soul is grateful for the many ways I could speak to thee.
Thank you for this precious time I am having with you.
I am about to leave this conversation now,
But my heart and mind are yours now,
Always and forever.
You may now open your eyes and come back to the world.
May this meditation and conversation with our Lord fill your day or night with hope and healing you were loved and prayed for and God bless you.
