Hello my name is Annabelle and today we're going to be doing a meditation on trust.
So I invite you to get comfortable,
Sit down,
If you need a pillow grab that,
Make yourself as comfortable as possible.
I'm going to start with some deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
The final one deepest breath you've done all day,
Sighing it out.
And I just want you to do a little body scan,
Noticing if there's any tension,
Any discomfort in your body,
Not trying to change it,
Just being aware of it.
We're going to do this body scan between each of the following words that I say,
Trust.
Let's do the body scan again,
Notice if there's any different tension or uncomfortability.
And next,
Allowing a deep breath in again,
Letting others in.
You may not notice any change and that's okay.
Another deep breath and this one's going to be a phrase,
I trust myself.
And again body scan,
Deep breath and then again another phrase,
It's safe to trust others.
Noticing any tension and then a deep breath and finally another phrase,
It's safe to be vulnerable.
Body scan and a deep breath.
I invite you to go back to whatever word or phrase caused the biggest reaction for you,
Whether it was it's safe to trust myself,
Safe to trust others,
Just the word trust,
It's safe to be vulnerable,
Whatever it was,
Reconnecting with that feeling.
We're going to do a little getting to know you exercise with this,
Because the feeling that we're experiencing is just a part of ourselves that we haven't been able to accept fully yet.
So by getting to know it,
It's less foreign and it's less scary and we start to naturally accept it and release the resistance.
So connecting with this feeling and noticing,
Does it have a color at all?
And it's okay if with any of these questions there is no answer.
Now,
Does it have a shape?
Is it a 2D or 3D shape?
How about a texture?
Is it rough or smooth?
Is the feeling inside or outside of your body?
Is it moving at all?
Is the feeling heavy or light?
Does it have a scent or a smell?
How about a taste?
Is there any food that it would seem like?
Is there any sound that this feeling has?
Does it have any memories associated with it?
Has this feeling changed at all since you started noticing it?
Is it still in the same part of the body?
Is it still the same color?
Now I invite you to ask this feeling if it has a message for you and now ask any question that you feel called to,
If you feel called to.
And when you're ready,
Just finding a moment of gratitude for this feeling because all it is trying to do is keep you safe.
You can say thank you,
I appreciate you.
If you feel ready to,
You can also say I'm ready to release you now.
I'm ready to move on from this pattern and I'm ready to let more trust and love into my life.
When you're ready take a deep inhale and releasing fully on the exhale.
Today's meditation is over but I do invite you to grab a journal and write out anything that came up during this meditation from the message,
If there was one from your feeling,
To what of the first statements caused your apprehension,
Maybe tension in the body.
Notice just by getting curious about the feeling it was able to naturally disappear.
You are so loved and appreciated.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
