Hello,
Today we're going to be doing our one-year meditation.
So before we start,
Go grab your workbook and a pen and then also just get comfortable,
Whether that is laying down,
Sitting up,
Whatever is most comfortable for you,
Where you're not going to fall asleep.
If you need a blanket,
Grab one,
Just get cozy.
Now when you're ready,
I invite you to take just a couple of breaths,
Close your eyes,
Breathing in through the nose,
Bringing it all the way to the belly,
Feeling the body fill with calmness and then exhale through the mouth,
Getting rid of any frustrations.
Inhale through the nose,
Calmness,
Love and peace and then exhale any anger,
Any frustration,
Any distractions.
One last time,
Bringing in feelings of love,
Of clarity and then exhale.
Return to your regular breathing.
I just want you to imagine with me that you're getting ready for bed tonight,
Putting on your pajamas,
Brushing your teeth,
Throwing back the covers on your bed,
Jumping in,
Feeling so warm,
Toasty and safe,
Feeling how comfortable your pillow is.
Imagine that you start to drift off.
Now imagine seeing a calendar in your dream,
It's got today's date on it.
Then the calendar turns its page to the next month and the next month and the next month.
It keeps going until it reaches this day next year.
Now imagine waking up this day in one year's time.
What bed are you in?
Is there anyone with you?
What are you wearing?
What time are you waking up and how are you waking up?
Do you have an alarm?
Is the sun shining through your window?
Now it's time to get up,
Start your morning routine.
Do you get coffee first thing?
Do you exercise?
Do you jump straight in the shower?
Now it's time to get ready for your day.
What do you put on?
Take a look in the mirror.
What do you look like?
How are you styling your hair?
Do you have a tan or tattoos?
What type of clothes are you choosing?
Now to get on with the rest of your day,
Do you have to go to work?
Are you working from home?
Do you have the day off to spend with people that you love?
Now it's getting close to lunchtime.
What are you eating?
Are you going out to a restaurant?
Spending it with friends?
Making lunch for yourself at home?
What are you doing with your lunch?
Are you making lunch for yourself at home?
What do you choose?
Now it's getting to the afternoon.
How are you choosing to spend your time?
Are you at work?
Do you have an afternoon yoga class?
Are you reading in the sunlight?
Spending time with family?
How are you choosing to spend your day?
Now it's getting to dinner time.
What are you going to eat?
Who are you making delicious nourishing food at home?
Going to a friend's place?
Going to a restaurant with a partner?
Now after dinner,
Are you relaxing on the couch with some chocolate and wine?
Are you walking home?
Are you reading?
Do you still have more work to do?
How is your night ending?
Now imagine getting ready for bed,
Thinking back on that whole day.
Do you feel accomplished?
Do you feel aligned?
How do you feel?
Now I want you to get into bed,
Throwing the covers over you,
Feeling so at peace,
Sinking into your pillow and you see the calendar again.
This time it's going back in time,
One month at a time,
Until it's one year.
It's back to today's date.
Now I want you to bring awareness back to the body.
Start to wiggle the fingers and toes.
When you're ready,
I invite you to open your eyes,
Look at the journal and answer the journal prompts provided for you.
Write all about your experience in one year's time.
What you looked like,
What you were doing,
Who you spent your time with.
Thank you so much for tuning up for yourself today.
Namaste.
