Hello and welcome,

My name is Annabelle and today we're going to be doing a loving awareness meditation.

The loving awareness meditation has its roots in buddhism and it helps you feel more love.

It also helps you send more love to those around you and the world.

In today's meditation,

And just like the monks and nuns,

We are going to be focusing on ourselves because that is where we need to begin.

Originally this would be done for days on end,

For the monks and nuns in training,

So this short meditation should be repeated often.

Because once we learn to love every part of ourselves,

We can learn to love every part of everyone else in the world.

I invite you to get comfortable,

Relaxed,

And find somewhere that you are truly comfortable.

If it feels good,

I invite you to close your eyes and I invite you to say these words out loud.

If you're in a space where you can only repeat them internally,

That's okay too,

But it is going to have greater effects when you're engaging your voice.

Today we're going to go through six phrases.

I'm going to say one,

Get you to repeat it,

And we're going to go through that list of six a few times.

You can start to imagine yourself in the mirror now,

Future or past versions of yourself.

Whatever comes to mind is right.

And if you're just saying the words with the feeling,

That is enough as well.

So taking a deep breath in and repeating after me.

May I be safe.

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I be free from suffering.

May I be safe and protected.

May I live with ease and joy.

Noticing how many versions of yourself need that love,

That safety,

That blessing.

Coming back to this meditation tomorrow.

You are so loved and so appreciated.

I'll see you soon.
