In this meditation We're gonna become more aware of the anger in our body How to sit with it How to release it and why it's there in the first place Our anger is just trying to teach us things It's trying to teach us That we deserve our desires We only get angry When our desires are not being met When we expect life to go a certain way People to act a certain way And they don't Life through is a curveball at us And we have to readjust We learn that we are not the center of the universe That everything isn't Working around our wants or needs And most importantly it is a teacher Anger teaches us what we need to change We may need to communicate better to release people or patterns Or we may need to release our desire and our expectation But either way Anger when we experience it is something that's very hard to control Sometimes it feels like it controls us So I want you to think back to the last time that you were angry Maybe it was something big or something small Either way the feeling is the same And we're just gonna get to know and accept that anger a little more If you aren't already taking a seat or laying down getting comfortable,

Taking a deep breath in and out Really settling on that memory Taking yourself back as if you were in that moment again Bringing that anger back up and I invite you to question is this sensation Anywhere in the body?

You're feeling it in your shoulders your stomach Your back your forehead There is no right or wrong answer And you may not feel it Either way just getting curious If you do feel this in a location in your body,

I ask you what shape is the feeling and Again,

There may not be one Now what color?

Is it see-through or shimmery at all?

Does this feeling have a smell or any scent?

How about a texture?

Would it be smooth?

Would it be rough?

Is it heavy or light?

Does it have any taste?

How about a sound?

And now I invite you to ask this feeling It has a message for you If it has anything it wants to say and do you have anything you want to say?

To this feeling now Questioning again Has this feeling changed at all?

Since you started noticing it.

Is it the same color?

The same shape Is it moving?

Or still Does it have a texture?

A taste or a sound Asking again if it has any message for you and when you're ready finding gratitude for this feeling finding gratitude for your anger Because all our emotions are trying to do Is keep us safe And that is exactly What your anger is doing So finding gratitude And if you feel ready Telling the anger in you That although you appreciate it And you are grateful it has kept you safe in the past It does not Need to visit That you are safe without it That it can come less regularly That there are other ways you are kept safe Taking a moment and a heart-centered breath In through your nose And out through your mouth finding gratitude and joy For yourself For this change You are so appreciated And so loved Exactly as you are When you're ready One final breath before opening your eyes
