This practice is designed to help you focus on making yourself a priority and emphasizing the importance of self-love and care.
Remember,
Taking the time for yourself isn't just beneficial,
It's essential for being able to serve others effectively through your life.
Start by finding a comfortable and quiet place where you won't be disturbed.
Sit comfortably,
Either on a chair or on the floor,
With your hands resting gently on your knees or in your lap.
Begin by taking three deep,
Slow breaths.
Inhale through your nose,
Feeling your chest and belly expand,
And exhale gently through your mouth.
With each exhale,
Visualize releasing any stress or tension that you're holding onto.
Feel yourself becoming more present in your body,
Grounding yourself in the here and now.
Continue taking these deep,
Slow breaths,
Inhaling through your nose,
Allowing your chest and belly to expand,
And exhale gently through your mouth.
Now turn your attention to your body.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort.
Begin scanning your body from the top of your head,
To your shoulders,
To your arms,
To your upper back and chest,
To your belly,
To your hips,
To thighs,
Knees,
Calves,
Feet,
And all the way down to your toes.
Send love and relaxation to every part of your body,
Letting it wash over you from your head to your toes.
Acknowledge the hard work your body does for you every day,
And thank it for its resilience to everything it's been through and everything that it does.
Now we'll begin affirmations of self-love.
Gently repeat to yourself,
I am worthy of love and care.
I prioritize myself.
I am worthy of love and care.
I prioritize myself.
With each affirmation,
Imagine a warm,
Loving light filling your body,
Radiating from your heart center.
Feel the truth of these words as they wash over you,
Nurturing your spirit.
I am worthy of love and care.
I prioritize myself.
Repeat this to yourself internally two more times.
I am worthy of love and care.
I prioritize myself.
Now imagine yourself engaging in an activity that you love,
Something that rejuvenates and energizes you.
It could be reading,
Walking in nature,
Doing yoga,
Or simply resting.
See yourself in this activity,
Feeling happy,
Peaceful,
And content.
Recognize that doing something you love is an act of self-love.
This is an important part of your daily routine.
Imagine that you,
Your body,
Your soul,
Your mind need these activities that rejuvenate,
That energize,
That care for you.
Allow that feeling to wash over you and integrate into your body.
As this practice comes to a close,
Set an intention for the rest of your day to prioritize your well-being.
This could be as simple as taking short breaks,
Staying hydrated,
Or speaking kindly to yourself.
Take a final deep breath,
And as you exhale,
Gently open your eyes,
