This guided meditation helps to ease physical pain, whether acute or chronic and assists in finding some comfort. The journey first starts with some breath awareness, followed by a body scan, a healing visualization, and then some further release through breath, incorporating some affirmations for healing and ending with some gratitude for the body. I personally make all aspects of creating this content, including all original music and sounds, singing, scripts, guided voice, and video editing. Before you begin,

Find a quiet and comfortable space.

Sit or lie down in a relaxed position.

Make any necessary adjustments to ensure you are at ease.

If you need to move,

That is okay.

Take a few deep breaths to settle into the present moment.

Begin by bringing your attention to your breath.

Inhale slowly and deeply,

Feeling the breath fill your lungs and exhale gently,

Releasing any tension.

As you breathe,

Imagine inhaling calmness and exhaling discomfort.

Allow your breath to become a soothing rhythm.

As you settle in,

Notice how you're feeling in this moment.

You don't need to try and change anything,

Just simply observe.

Shift your focus to the area of your body where you're experiencing pain.

And also notice the parts of your body that feel more relaxed.

Without judgement,

Simply observe the sensations.

You don't have to try to make anything happen,

Just notice how your body feels in this moment now.

Although pain is unwanted and difficult to tolerate,

Try for the next few moments to regard your pain with acceptance.

Observe and accept.

There is nothing you need to be doing in this moment besides accepting this moment and accepting yourself just as you are.

As you breathe,

Imagine sending warmth and relaxation to that area.

Notice each breath soothing and healing,

Gradually reducing any discomfort or even a little bit of the discomfort.

Consider a warm and comforting light like a soft golden glow or a soothing colour.

Surround this area of pain with this.

With each breath,

Imagine this healing light expanding and enveloping the discomfort.

Visualise the light gently easing the pain,

Bringing comfort and relief.

Gently relax each part of your body even more,

Starting from your toes and moving upward.

As you focus on each body part,

Release any tension you may be holding.

Allow the muscles to soften and let go.

Continue this until you reach the top of your head.

Then notice that you can alter the pain slightly,

You can change the feeling even just a little.

Imagine that instead of pain in this area,

It feels cool and light.

As if you have applied a comfortable ice pack to this area.

Feel the coolness,

Feel the lightness.

Now focus in on this area again and imagine a slightly different feeling,

You may wish to imagine the sensation of pleasant tingling,

Warmth or soft but firm and comfortable pressure.

Imagine the sensation replacing just a tiny bit of pain and a tiny bit more and more.

Feel this new sensation growing,

Pleasantly providing relief and allowing you to relax and take a deep breath in and out,

Breathing in and out.

With each inhalation,

Invite a sense of calm and relief into your body.

As you exhale,

Imagine releasing any pain or discomfort.

Picture the pain leaving your body with each breath,

Allowing you to breathe in healing energy and exhale tension.

Don't worry about making anything happen or doing this meditation in a certain way,

Whatever happens is right for you at this moment.

Receive these affirmations to affirm your intention for pain relief.

I am surrounded by healing energy.

With each breath I am easing into more comfort and relief.

My body is strong and I am on the path to healing.

I surrender to the healing process.

Shift your focus to gratitude for your body,

Acknowledge its resilience and strength.

Express appreciation for the parts of your body that are not in pain and even to the parts that are,

Sending those parts some much needed love.

Breathing in love into those areas.

Feel a sense of gratitude for the healing process that is taking place.

Gradually bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Take note of how your body feels,

How relaxed you are,

How calm your mind is and enjoy this feeling of relaxation for just a few more moments.

Take a moment to notice any changes in your perception of pain and acknowledge the comfort that has been cultivated today.

Gently move your fingers and toes,

Stretch your body out and slowly reawaken your body and self.

When you are ready you can slowly open your eyes.

Thank you so much for joining me for this meditation.

If you found it helpful be sure to let me know or share it with someone who could benefit from it too.

I do hope this meditation brought you some relief and a sense of ease.

Thank you.
