The journey first starts with some grounding breathing, followed by a body scan, and a visualization of a tranquil nature scene, then it comes back to some more breath awareness, incorporating some affirmations for peace, and ending with some gratitude reflection. Before you begin,

Find a quiet and comfortable space.

Sit or lie down in a relaxed position.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhaling slowly through your nose and exhaling gently through your mouth.

Allow yourself to let go of any tension in your body,

In your mind,

As you settle into a state of calmness.

Start by taking a few deep breaths to centre yourself.

Inhale deeply,

Feeling the breath filling your lungs and exhale slowly,

Releasing any tension.

Repeat this process for a few moments,

Focusing solely on your breath.

Now shift your awareness to your body.

Begin to scan from the top of your head down to the tips of your toes.

Notice any areas of tension or discomfort.

As you breathe,

Imagine each breath bringing relaxation to those areas and allow the tension to melt away with each exhale.

Picture yourself in a serene and beautiful natural setting of your choice.

It could be a peaceful beach,

A quiet forest or a tranquil garden.

Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and the gentle breeze against your face.

Take in the sights,

Sounds,

Smells and feelings of this peaceful environment around you.

Bring your focus back to your breath now and imagine your breath as a gentle wave,

Flowing in and out.

With each inhalation,

Feel a sense of calmness washing over you.

As you exhale,

Let go of any stress or tension.

Allow the rhythmic nature of your breath to guide you into a deeper state of relaxation.

In this state of relaxation,

I want you to absorb these affirmations.

I am calm and at peace.

I release tension and embrace tranquility.

With each breath,

I am becoming more relaxed.

Take a moment to reflect on the positive aspects of your life.

What are you grateful for today?

Allow these feelings of gratitude to fill your heart,

Your body,

Your mind,

Fostering a sense of inner peace.

Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment within you.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

And when you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes.
