Welcome to this self-compassion meditation We are going to mostly be focusing on your physical body and allowing you to bring more appreciation to all the things that your body does for you When we're stressed and busy,
It is very difficult to Stay rooted in our body sometimes and to really appreciate it And so this is an opportunity for you to really put your physical body at the forefront of This self-compassion that we're going to tune into so allow yourself to get into a comfortable position as We connect with your body You May want to allow this to be movement-based if you feel it to be Necessary,
Maybe your body wants to sway while we're working together or You know just kind of dance with your eyes closed or just lay down Whatever you feel is right is what's gonna work for you But just allow this to be a space for that freedom and that flow feeling So that you can feel into the freedom and self-expression of your body and So we're going to begin By just doing a little bit of a stretch.
We're gonna reach up With our arms As if we're touching the ceiling reaching for the ceiling and we're gonna bring our arms back down and then allow yourself to place your hands on your heart and We're going to tune into self-forgiveness right now because You may find it difficult to feel compassion for yourself and your body If you are holding on to any blame or resentment and Sometimes this can stem from childhood even Without us consciously remembering it and we might be storing this in our physical body.
And so Just allow yourself now to keep your hands upon your chest and tune in to your body Breathe in As you soften your heart And allow forgiveness To flow through you may not know what you're forgiving But or maybe you do But allow yourself to let go Feeling like you need to take on this blame Notice if you have any feelings of Self-punishment Like it's all my fault or feelings of shame or guilt just observe it and Be present with it now You are safe I am here if you need to release and cry Allow yourself to do that now But trust that whatever happens during this time together is meant to be You're going to breathe in and out As You've imagined yourself as a young child an Innocent child Who meant well Who didn't know any better Who was divinely perfect Even in all your imperfections And you're going to allow this child To receive the forgiveness from your heart To them You're going to imagine wrapping Them up with love With acceptance with forgiveness Breathe in and out as you release anything that is weighing on you.
Let that go Let it go let it go Bring your focus to your body To your heart as it's beating If you're comfortable with it tune in to gratitude For your heart beating so rhythmically So well As blood flows through all of your veins As your lungs Inhale and exhale As your hair grows and your nails And your eyes move And your toes and fingers wiggle And let's allow this time to focus on what is going right as we may Fall into Focusing on the ailments the pain the discomfort What is not working about the body,
But this is time to have compassion For it To think of all your organs And how they are doing their best to keep you alive As your stomach digests food And your intestines and the work that they do And your kidneys and your bladder and your liver And any other organ that might be coming to your mind,
Let's love on that organ now And We know that sometimes we might get trapped in wanting our body to look better to feel better To perform better But this is time To appreciate for what it has done What it has created What has worked about this body The things that you are grateful for that it does for you How your brain is processing this meditation and your ears It's receiving the sound How lucky Are we Let's tune in to the feeling of lucky What it's like to be so fortunate And maybe you don't feel so fortunate with the way maybe your life is going or maybe you do But right now let's allow ourselves to be fortunate For these parts of our body that are working Maybe wiggle your thumb or your toes bask in the beauty that that signal from your brain Went into Those parts of your body Tune in to the feeling Of where you are positioned right now Or the sensation of the clothes on you How cool that sensation is that that signals being received from your skin?
Until your brain Life can feel overwhelming at times,
But this is a moment a moment of peace Allow Forgiveness Compassion and love to fill your body Thank you body for all that you do for me Thank you body for all that you do for me Breathe in and out As you inhale vitality And exhale and release Inhale forgiveness And release Inhale health And release Inhale love And release Inhale compassion and release It is at this time that you may feel called to do some movement with your eyes closed As you allow for this moment To feel sacred To be a moment where love is At the forefront Self-appreciation for your body and the way that it moves And Appreciation for your thoughts Even if they may be frustrating at times Focusing on your brain And appreciating all of the things that it does for you every day Because it loves you and you love it You May want to say I choose to believe that my body works with me My body and I are connected now As you enhance your connection with yourself and the body that you are in Breathe in and out Allow Yourself To open your eyes and come back to this moment Thank you for allowing me To do this for you.
