Welcome to this guided meditation.

Today,

We'll transform our approach to tasks that we've been avoiding and find the motivation to tackle them head on.

We'll shift our mindset to see these tasks as opportunities,

Identify and confront our fears,

And embrace our accountability to this life.

To begin,

Find a comfortable position and close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths.

Feel the air as it enters your nostrils,

Fills your lungs,

And gently flows out.

Notice the rhythm of your breath and how it brings you into the present moment.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Bring your attention to your body.

Slowly scan down from head to toe.

When we have a lot going on or a lot of stress in our lives,

It's easy to start to hold that tension in our bodies.

Notice where you might be holding this tension or even discomfort.

And over the course of the next few breaths,

Imagine releasing that tension with each exhale.

We'll take a few moments in silence to just focus on the breath.

Use this time to calm the mind further,

Only paying attention to your breathing.

It might be helpful to count the breaths or to repeat something like in,

Out,

In your mind,

In time with your inhales and exhales.

If your mind wanders,

Just take note of this and come back to the breath when you realize you've been distracted.

Now consider the task you've been putting off.

Notice any feelings or thoughts that arise when you think about what you need to do.

It's okay to feel resistance,

Stress or frustration.

Just observe your feelings without judgment.

Ask yourself,

What is holding me back from doing this task?

Is it fear,

Doubt,

A sense of being overwhelmed?

Over the next few minutes,

Allow these feelings to come to the surface and really sit with them.

If your mind wanders,

Just come back to this feeling or back to the breath.

Now we're going to change how we think about this task.

Whatever we're putting off might be a challenge,

But it's also an opportunity.

Even the most mundane things in life can teach us something.

Think about how this task can actually benefit you.

Think about how doing it is your choice,

In your control,

And something you are choosing to do because you know it can only make you stronger and improve your life.

You get to do this task.

You have the skills,

Resources and support you need to get it done.

Even if it's a small task,

It's something you need to do.

You are accountable to this life,

So you will get it done.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,

Imagine releasing all the doubts and fears holding you back.

Remember why you're doing this task and visualize yourself tackling it head on.

Spend the next few minutes feeling this sense of clarity,

Purpose and drive.

Now slowly bring your attention back to the present moment.

Notice the sounds around you,

The sensation of your body against the surface.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

And maybe take a moment to stretch if that feels good for you.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Carry this motivation and confidence with you as you tackle whatever it is you need to get done.

Remember,

You get to do this.

You've got stuff to do.

Go get on with it.

Love the messages of being accountable for your life and you have tasks to do, get on with it. Just the kick in the pants I needed now.
