Welcome,

Today our gentle movement meditation focuses on the theme to be strong but not hard,

To be soft but not weak,

While we also embrace the beautiful truth that the way you move is the way you think and feel.

Find a spacious and peaceful area and let's begin this harmonious exploration.

Stand comfortably with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent,

And as you close your eyes,

Start with deep,

Grounding breaths.

Inhale peace,

Exhale any tension you might feel.

Now begin swaying gently,

Like a leaf in a soft breeze.

Feel each movement as a reflection of your inner calm,

Your presence in this moment.

Now let's engage with our inner strength.

Raise your arms with purpose,

Reaching towards the sky,

Feeling the power in your muscles,

The energy of your being.

Then allow your arms to float down gently,

A graceful descent.

This is your dance of strength,

Assertive yet fluid,

A physical manifestation of your inner resilience.

Keep repeating the movement,

While remaining aware of the firm stance of your feet on the floor or the earth.

Reach strong arms up high and lower them down gently.

Now shift your focus to softness.

Allow your body to move in flowing,

Seamless motions.

Soft steps of your feet explore the surface and the knees.

Imagine your arms as gentle waves,

Your steps as the quiet breath of a forest creature.

Would each fluid movement embody kindness,

Empathy and understanding?

This is your dance of softness,

Graceful,

Nurturing and a testament to your compassionate spirit.

Just moving softly,

Light steps,

Flowy movements with your limbs.

Now let your movements weave together the elements of strength and softness.

Raise your arms with confidence,

Then let them cascade down with gentleness.

Step with assurance,

Then glide with ease.

Feel how your physical movements influence your thoughts and emotions,

Creating a symphony of balance and harmony.

Now gradually bring your movements to a gentle stillness.

And quietly,

Taking deep,

Nourishing breaths.

Reflect on the harmony you've created within and through your movements.

Embrace this state of being where strength and softness coexist in beautiful equilibrium.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Returning to the world with a renewed sense of self,

A harmonious blend of resilience and tenderness reflected in every step you take.

Thank you for joining in this flowing meditation.

May your every movement be a dance of the beautiful balance within you.

I invite you to also listen to the talk on to be strong but not hard,

To be soft but not weak,

To get clear on these principles and how they apply to you individually.
