Hello fellow soul.
Welcome to this space of gratitude.
Thank you for joining me.
My name is Galiza.
Today we are going to give a quick gratitude practice to our bodies.
Our bodies do a lot for us and sometimes we often forget how beautiful and wonderful they are.
So let's take a moment here to find a comfortable position.
Maybe sitting down or lying down.
And then allowing your eyes to gently close if that feels safe to you.
And let your breath settle into its natural rhythm.
We'll be moving slowly through the body.
Pausing to notice,
Appreciate and offer gratitude for what each part of you carries and does for you.
Let's begin with our head and our face.
Bringing awareness to your head,
Your face.
Notice the sensations.
Perhaps the soft air on your skin or the weight of your head resting.
Take a deep breath of gratitude for your mind,
For all the thoughts,
The ideas and memories it holds.
Thank you eyes for letting me see the world.
Thank you ears for letting me hear voices,
Listen to music and even silence.
Thank you mouth for speaking,
For smiling,
For tasting food.
Now we're moving our attention to the neck and the shoulder.
And bringing awareness down.
Feeling that neck,
Feeling that shoulder.
One side to the other.
These areas carry so much for you.
Breathe gently into any tension that you find here.
Offering gratitude.
Thank you shoulder for carrying the weight of my day to day,
My responsibilities.
And now we're moving our attention to the arms and the hands.
Just noticing the arms,
Noticing the hands.
Feeling the energy flowing through both of them.
And giving thanks for what they allow you to do.
Thank you hands for allowing me to hold,
Create,
Work,
Reach and connect.
Perhaps you may even recall one moment today where your hands helped you or someone else.
Now moving your attention to your chest and your heart.
Bringing the attention to the heart space.
Feel the rise and fall of each breath.
Taking a moment to give deep gratitude for your heart.
Thank you heart for always beating,
Always supporting my life.
You might even say gently,
Thank you heart for your steady rhythm,
For your care.
Now we're moving our attention to our belly and our core.
Shifting that awareness to the stomach.
And then noticing the breath moving in and out.
Offering thanks to your digestive system,
Your center.
Thank you belly,
Thank you core for nourishing me,
For transforming food into energy.
And even if there is discomfort,
Just noticing the ways that your belly,
Your core is supporting you.
And now we're moving our attention to the legs and the feet.
Maybe feeling the awareness go down through your hips,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves,
Your ankles,
Your feet.
Giving thanks to the legs.
Thank you legs for carrying me through the day.
Thank you feet for grounding me.
Thank you for allowing me to take every step that brought me here today.
And maybe perhaps recalling a place where your feet carried you and recently brought you joy and peace.
Finally,
Step back in your awareness and feel your whole body at once.
Breathing in with gratitude.
Breathing out with ease.
Your body is always here,
Supporting you in countless ways,
Many unseen.
Take a deep breath and silently say,
Thank you body for being my home.
Rest here in this feeling of appreciation for a few breaths.
And when you're ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes and open your eyes.
Carrying this sensation of gratitude with you into the rest of the day.
Thank you for joining me.
Thank you for your presence today.
