This is a journey for those moments when we find ourselves feeling lonely. When someone we care about feels far away, when life turns a page faster than we can follow, when familiar routines shift, and we’re left with unexpected quiet. The kind that echoes. In this gentle pause, we lie down and listen. Slowly, softly, the walls inside loosen, and the heart remembers it was never truly alone. We move from isolation into belonging. From silence into togetherness. Coming home to the connection that has been here all along.

Welcome to this practice of deep rest.

My name is Giulia and I'll be your guide on this journey of connecting to the deeper layers of your being.

If possible,

Lie down,

Maybe supporting the back of your knees with a pillow,

A light cloth over your eyes,

A small weight in the palms of your hands to help you drop into stillness and feel gently anchored in your body.

And as you settle into your yoga nidra nest,

I'll share a few words about what we'll explore today.

Experiences or entire life seasons that open us to joy,

Connection and transformation are intimately linked to the heart,

The element of fire and the energetics of summer.

They warm us,

They fill us,

They ignite the flames of the heart through openness and relationship.

In these moments,

We often feel interconnection as a living truth pulsing and vibrating within us.

We may glimpse what mystics across time have always whispered,

All is one.

And yet,

A relationship ends,

A loved one pass,

A child moves on,

A shared moment dissolves,

The season shifts and life-filled experiences fade,

Leaving a hollow silence.

We find ourselves alone with our emotions and our time.

The radiant fullness of summer gives way to the quiet of autumn and the sense of emptiness or isolation may arise.

In these moments,

We easily mistake a time of inner turning for loneliness.

We tend to forget that even the most beautiful sharing,

The most loved person,

Does not truly give us something of their own,

But they awaken what already lives within us.

Through experiencing love,

We learn to feel love within ourselves.

Through feeling trusted,

We learn self-trust.

Through being seen,

We begin to see our own beauty and strength.

This Yoga Nidra invites you to gather the fruits of your fullest and most radiant seasons and use their gifts to nourish and ground your heart when a sense of loneliness or lack arises.

As you continue to draw into your inner landscape,

We begin this Yoga Nidra at the energetic center of your heart.

In traditional Chinese medicine,

This is known as Renmai 17,

The center of the chest.

Please,

Let your attention gently rest there,

At the center of your chest.

Maybe your inner ear will perceive the steady beat of your heart,

The ripple of its vibration through the chest like a pebble dropped into a well.

See if you can let your breath and heartbeat begin to harmonize in whatever way they choose to meet.

And from this altar at the center of your chest,

Begin to recall and experience a person or a time in your life that filled you with a deep sense of love and connection.

Let yourself be there fully.

Who were you in that moment?

What qualities in you were seen,

Loved and reflected back?

What did that feel like in your body?

Perhaps,

As you recall that feeling,

Something between your shoulder blades begins to soften.

A warmth begins to melt through the chest.

And maybe you can sense or simply imagine a spark of red light igniting at the center of your heart.

Let it glow gently and stay with my voice as we travel that spark of light through the body in what is known as a rotation of consciousness.

We begin right here,

At the center of the center of your heart.

From the center of your heart,

The spark of light begins to travel to your brow center.

Right temple.

Right cheek.

Right shoulder.

Right side of the chest.

Right upper thigh.

Right ankle.

Feel the whole right side of your body.

Whole right side together.

Whole right side.

The spark of light moves now to your left ankle.

Left upper thigh.

Left side of the chest.

Left shoulder.

Left cheek.

Left temple.

Right temple.

Midbrain,

The space between the ears.

Feel the whole left side of your body.

Whole left side together.

Whole left side.

And now feel the entire body.

United,

Resting,

Still.

Whole body.

Whole body together.

Together.

The spark of light returns to the space of your heart,

Illuminating and warming the whole heart center.

And we'll now use the breath to expand and move through this space.

With your next inhale,

Please,

See if you can let that warmth begin to spread.

First through the chest,

Then into the belly,

The limbs,

And the whole body.

With each exhale,

Gently return inward,

Letting the body soften and receive.

Inhale,

Warmth expands from the heart to the very edges of your physical body.

Exhale,

The body softens and receives.

Keep going for a few more rounds,

Feeling how far out your heart can expand and how softly it can return home within.

Maybe the inhale begins to expand beyond the body,

Beyond the room,

And into the space around you.

And with the exhale,

Feel yourself return to the quiet,

Glowing center of your heart.

Connection through light is not bound by time or space.

Our prayers,

Our intentions,

Our heartfelt thoughts travel without limits.

You can trust they reach instantly.

Let your next exhale draw you gently back into the space of your heart as we begin to explore the experience of pairs of opposites.

From the space of your heart,

Please,

Recall a sensation of emptiness,

Like a hollow vessel.

What is the bodily sensation of feeling empty?

What is the texture,

The color,

The temperature of emptiness?

As this sensation fades,

Shift into the feeling of overflowing,

Radiant,

Full of light.

What is the bodily sensation of overflowing with light?

What is the texture,

The color,

The temperature of overflowing?

Now,

See if you can let yourself hold both sensations,

Empty and full together.

Empty and full coexisting.

As those sensations dissolve,

Please,

Invite in a sense of solitude,

The quiet echo of being alone.

What does solitude feel like in your body?

What is the color,

The rhythm,

The tone of solitude?

Now,

Welcome the feeling of connection.

What does connection feel like in your body?

Does it have a color,

A texture,

A breath?

Feel for connection.

Feel for connection woven through your body,

Your cells,

Your breath,

And through all things.

And now,

See if both can live in you,

Lonely and connected,

Empty and full.

Let them dance.

Let them be held without needing to resolve,

As if you are the space that holds them both.

Lonely and connected at the same time.

Keeping that sense of fullness and connection,

We now enter into visualization.

For this journey,

Please,

Take yourself to a real or imagined place in nature,

A place that feels good to be in.

Dusk blooms.

The sky softens to mystical red.

Above you,

A majestic cloud of birds moves as one.

They transcend gravity,

Guided by instinct and rhythm.

Your eyes follow their fluid,

Connected drawings,

Tracing a living thread between earth and sky.

The breeze brushes your skin.

Their chirping songs carry messages of love and offer omens of fate.

The red rays of the setting sun warm your blood and reflect on your skin.

As you walk,

The birdsong begins to mix with voices in the distance.

Laughter,

Lightness,

A hum of joy carried through the air.

And as you approach,

You begin to recognize familiar faces.

Friends,

Family,

Teachers,

People you love and who love you unconditionally.

Take a moment to see who is here with you.

They sit in a circle,

And you feel the invitation to step into the center and lie down.

You close your eyes,

Held and secure in the loving presence that surrounds you.

Each person in the circle slowly extends their hands towards you.

And from their soft palms,

Fine threads of red light begin to travel into your heart.

A sense of tenderness,

Warmth,

Nourishment and care lands gently into your chest.

The heart fills and overflows,

Pouring love back along the threads to each of them.

Take a few moments here.

Fully receiving,

Overflowing and giving back.

Let yourself feel completely connected.

Let this feeling take root into your heart like a truth you can always return to.

And as the image of your loved ones gently begins to fade,

See if you can stay with the love that remains.

A fullness that asks for nothing.

Nothing.

Nothing is missing.

You're here.

You're held.

You're whole.

Let this sensation grow if it wants to.

Let it expand into the vast field of connection that surrounds us all.

Rest here.

Let this quiet joy hold you for a few more moments.

When we rest in the awareness of connection,

Love becomes as natural as breath.

And through love,

We awaken to a vastness that is also freedom.

Please,

Begin to gently return to your body.

Feel the breath that is currently breathing you.

The back of your heart resting on the floor beneath you.

Anything still tingling or shimmering within you.

Inner circulation.

Inner communication.

The practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.

Let those final echoes remain with you as you gently return to the world.

Noticing the sounds around you.

The echo of my voice waking you up.

Gently move fingers and toes.

And when ready,

Open your eyes and roll to your favorite side.

May you carry the nourishment that love-filled moments awakened in your heart.

And may that sense of connection walk with you through all seasons.
