This meditation is for you.

For all of you.

You are perfect and whole just as you are.

And you can let these words flow over you.

You can even repeat them in your head if you like,

Or out loud.

You can imagine the words I am saying are your words.

Your words for your own inner child.

The innocent one.

Or you can just listen.

Listen to my words and know that you are seen.

Settle down.

Get comfy.

For this meditation,

You may want to be seated or reclined so you can hold the position effortlessly.

Use a pillow or prop yourself up so you can give a really big hug.

And I see you.

Little you.

You are always here.

And so am I.

I will always be here,

Too.

That's right.

It's okay.

Feel your feelings.

I'm here with you.

And I am going to help.

Help little you with a hug to heal the heart.

Now take a breath.

Inhale.

Exhale.

That's right.

Again,

Inhale in through your nose slowly.

Hold for just a bit.

Now exhale with a sigh.

That's right.

One more deep breath.

Hold it.

Hold.

Now exhale with a big sigh.

And now you can allow your breathing to gradually go back to normal.

Close your eyes and check in.

How are you feeling right now?

Take a moment and just feel.

Now,

Where in your body do you have those feelings?

And you can breathe into that space.

Not trying to change anything,

Just witness.

Witness and breathe.

Now imagine you are looking up in front of you.

And you're singing,

Little you.

You may be a baby or a child.

Just take a moment and really see your younger self.

Can you feel that child's emotion?

What do you sense?

Take a moment to allow compassion to grow for that little one.

Extend your arms and welcome that child,

Little you,

In a warm embrace.

That's right.

Feel the weight.

Soft hair snuggled into your neck.

Feel familiar childhood smells,

Shampoo,

Soap,

Favorite foods.

Feel soft,

Childish breath against your skin.

Just let little you sink down,

Releasing,

Relaxing.

Can you feel?

Feel your heart opening with love.

Love,

Compassion,

And tenderness for this little child,

Little you.

And synchronize your breath.

Feeling loving energy between your two hearts and bodies.

And that loving energy becomes like an infinity symbol,

Circling and spiraling around you both without end or beginning.

Stay in that love as long as you like,

Holding little you in this loving embrace.

And when your heart is wide open,

Flowing love and tenderness,

Imagine that you are now the child.

Sink into the arms holding you and be the child who is comforted.

And you may allow yourself to completely let go with the unfurrowed brow of a sleeping innocent.

Feel your child's heart filling and the grounding weight of security,

Safety,

And unconditional love.

That's right.

You are safe now.

It's safe to snuggle in.

Settle down,

Really feeling that hug.

And now I will be quiet for a bit so you can really settle in.

And I will be here to bring you back when you are ready with the sound of the bell.

And I will be here to bring you back when you are ready with the sound of the bell.

And I will be here to bring you back when you are ready with the sound of the bell.

And I will be here to bring you back when you are ready with the sound of the bell.

That's right.

You are safe now.

And in a moment,

I will ring the bell three times.

By the time the last is done,

You can have allowed yourself to drift back up naturally,

Easily,

Comfortably into normal waking awareness.
