Welcome to this meditation to reclaim your power.
This meditation is perfect for anybody who is moving through a time of fatigue,
Maybe a challenging time,
Where perhaps you've become disconnected from your power.
What is your power?
It's your courage,
Self-esteem,
Your voice,
How you articulate yourself,
Your expression,
How you present yourself.
And we all move through times where we feel disconnected from this,
Maybe temporary,
A change in circumstance that's forced upon you,
A fated event,
And perhaps you've just gone into a void or a state of rest.
To reconnect is to acknowledge the desire to ignite it.
And so by being here today,
Perhaps that's where you find yourself now,
Ready to ignite your inner flame.
So finding yourself in a comfortable position where you can be undisturbed for the next few moments.
You may want to be seated or lying down.
Just observing how you're feeling in your body at this moment.
Is there any tension or tightness?
And just taking your awareness to the top of your head,
To your eyebrows,
Just letting them soften.
And just allowing the jaw to relax.
Just letting your shoulders soften.
And just noticing your chest,
The rise and fall with each breath.
Moving down through your torso into your legs.
Are you tensing them?
Can you allow for them to soften?
And just bring in your awareness now to your inner flame.
I'd like you to find your inner flame.
Where do you feel it?
Where does it appear for you?
It might be in your heart center.
It may be around the solar plexus,
Down into your pelvis.
It may be all around your body.
Just go with whatever appears to you.
Not trying to change anything.
Now that you've located it,
I'd like you to notice,
How does it appear to you?
Is it flickering or in stillness?
We're going to go on a journey now.
So I'd like you to take yourself somewhere,
Maybe a woodland,
Maybe in a home.
I'd like you to find somewhere where there's a fire.
Maybe a campfire,
A candle,
The hearth of a fireplace.
Just finding yourself into this space now.
Taking in your surroundings.
And I'd like you to set yourself down beside this fire.
Like the sun,
Our inner flame has cycles.
Sometimes we are ignited with confidence and joy,
And other times we're more still or at a point of burning out.
You are the guardian of your sacred fire.
Have you been tending to it?
And today,
We are going to spend some time doing just that.
So taking a moment to observe your fire.
This here is the centre of your inner landscape.
So as you sit beside this fire,
I'm asking you to consider,
What do you need to tend to it?
A moment?
Space?
Maybe prioritising?
What is it that's keeping you from igniting it?
This is a space of discernment.
It's not about judgement or blame.
Perhaps you feel fatigued with past situations,
Decisions or memories.
Maybe something beyond your control or something intentional.
Just noticing any feelings that are attached to this.
Guilt,
Regret,
Shame,
Maybe rage or sadness.
Maybe you've been neglecting your posts,
Protecting the fire for some time for resentment.
Maybe a comment or conversation has momentarily shifted something for you.
I invite you now to reach into your pocket where you find a piece of paper and a pen.
I'd just like you to visualise yourself writing down a list of everything that comes to your mind.
These things that have dimmed your sparkle.
Again,
It's not about blame or shame.
It's just being honest with yourself.
Anything that has kept you disconnected.
I'm just taking this list and observing it.
I want you to prepare yourself for transformation.
We all experience setbacks,
Misfortune,
Bad luck or deep hurt.
We all have moments where our flame is waning.
As the keeper of our flame,
It's up to us to decide how we can bring the spark back.
What if I told you that what looks like a list of problems in your hand right now is actually where the magic lies?
Are you ready for some magic?
We have a choice to keep our flame dim or to rely on others to bring us some sparkle.
Or we can take these things that may appear as pain and turn them into purpose.
What is once a mistake,
A regret or a failure can be transmuted to a lesson,
To wisdom.
What went wrong can be set right.
And what didn't work out brings a new direction.
Fire has long been a symbol of purification.
After the flames die down,
The ashes will go into the soil to regenerate land.
The soil becomes more fertile and a bountiful harvest follows.
Taking your paper now,
It is now time to let go.
Let it go into the flame.
As you do,
Watch it burn.
Watch this paper turn to ashes.
Ashes that will purify.
As the paper begins to turn into ashes,
You notice this flame growing higher.
Maybe it's flickering.
Maybe you can feel the warmth moving through,
Going higher and higher and surrounding you.
Watch your list transform from what it once was into something new.
Watching your flames growing.
Your list has now turned to ashes.
Everything that you had written down has now transmuted.
Your sacred fire is ignited.
As you begin to land back into your body and into the room you're in,
Just know that you can carry this wisdom with you throughout the day.
That no matter what happens,
That may momentarily dim your sparkle,
Or any time you've found yourself stuck in a place where you feel like you're not ignited,
That you can always revisit this inner landscape of yours and tend to your flame.
Thank you for joining me today on this meditation.
